“The Rootbeer float is delicious. The 1st 2 times I went, my float and strawberry shakes were excellent. My 4th visit, the cookies & and creme shake, was great, but my strawberry was just pink and not very flavorful at all. I saved it so I could remake it. Didn't want to throw it away. It cost too much for that. I will try again, but I will taste it before I leave.“

My husband and I knew we wanted to do great and delicious mexican food for our wedding and we were struggling to find someone who could do that in a large venue setting, and was willing to travel to Janesville, Wisconsin. She is so incredibly kind and we enjoyed taking the drive to Chicago where she cooked right in front of us a variety of options to try for our wedding.I know that my husband and I probably over communicated often in the 9 months leading up to the wedding with tons of questions and making sure all would go right. “This is hands down the best Puerto Rican food I’ve had in the city, and I’ve had a lot! Food is made fresh to order so there’s def a bit of a wait but it is worth it, every little bite. The food here puts my entire family to shame, I’m going to be at thanksgiving dinner wishing I was here instead (sorry mom)! Pork, delicious. Arroz con gandules, best rice I’ve had and now I’m trying to revamp my own recipe. Tostones, nice and crispy with a side of mayo ketchup. Pinchos served with a nub of garlicy bread and bbq sauce. My mom visited from out of state and she said the sorullos here reminded her of my late great grandmother’s back in the island. Just an absolute treat - be careful and don’t get carried away like I did the first time and spend a whole paycheck!“

“First time trying this awesome location! So happy I decided to give it a try. Yari was so kind and gave me great suggestions to choose from. I love that this is a family owned and ran business. The chicken was juicy, seasoned to perfection and the sides were great as well. Loved the broccoli and sweet potato Fries. The add on was the IPA beer that was a HIT (media naranja). “This is another stand of El Becerrito (I see another reviewed on Yelp in Uptown). I think I've noticed them driving by before, but more recently this past Friday after the bitter cold two days, I was reminded that I should make a stop. I think the stand is here primarily Mon-Fri and they start in the mornings I believe, early enough for breakfast. Street was clear enough this morning that even if you were driving, it should be easy enough to park and pickup. Tacos are $2.50 each and come with onions and cilantro if you choose, and your choice of red or green salsa. A lime is thrown in on the side and you could eat there fresh or get it to go. They put it on a styrofoam plate for me to go with foil - next time I'll just have them foil it. Great option for a quick pickup on a street full of tacos (you can get cabeza at some of the other local taquerias).“

As newcomers to the area from the Pacific Northwest, we've been eager to explore different styles of pizza, including deep dish and more. This particular pizza experience stood out as one of the best we've encountered so far! Not only is it reasonably priced, but the fun and inventive flavors, like cacio e pepper, added an exciting twist we hadn't tried before. The leftover slices even made for a perfect Sunday breakfast. We can't recommend it enough!“
