Soul & Smoke - West Loop offers fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked food. The brisket, rib tibs, shrimp & grits, mac & cheese, red beans & rice, po'boy, brisket sandwich, and pulled pork sandwich are all delicious and well-seasoned. The brown butter cornbread is mouth-watering, and the grits have an amazing taste profile. The slaw is surprisingly good, and a Brown Sugar Bakery cake is a great choice. The service is great, with pleasant gentlemen and kind staff who provide attentive help with dietary restrictions. Everything is ready on time, packaged well, and prepared quickly. The restaurant is clean, and the food is cooked fresh. Though located in a food court, the food is too good for such a setting, with some noting the atmosphere gets four stars for that reason. Guests appreciate the quality and care, and many say they will definitely be back. Amazing soul food. 10/10.
