Visiting a historical building with restored Victorian-era woodwork and exposed brick is a real treat, offering a contemporary feel. The food is delicious too!
Great selection of antiques, furniture and clothes at very reasonable prices!
Was a very historical place to eat at. And very interesting that it was a Bank. Just wish I could tour the rest of the building. People there were very very nice and polite. If I'm in the area again I will definitely go back
Looking for delicious cookies and other treats? Make sure to stop by Lost in Time. Actually, all of their food is very good. Such a nice restaurant in a great small town!
Food is always good. The history of the building is interesting.

Haven't tried all the food. Pretty busy place, can understand why the person who served us wasn't quick to check up on us. Perhaps call in more people when busy? Also not to be too picky. Check the meat a little better to see if theres any hidden bones in there. Otherwise I did enjoy my food.
Wheelchair accessibility: Has a ramp leading up to the main entrance

We tried this place out for breakfast while a relative was visiting from out of state. The restaurant is very unique, and had a great atmosphere! Our breakfast food was fantastic. There were two issues: the air system was blowing right onto my chair against the wall, which was a bit cold and distracting. With the service, it was great until we waited for 40 minutes for our food to arrive. I saw our waitress on break, but no one else attended to our table, and we suspected that our food was sitting under warmers waiting to be brought to us.
Parking: The entrance is through the side door, so try to park on the side street by the ramp.

Lost in Time truly lives up to its name. It is like walking back in time to the kind of service and quality of food that seemed available many years ago. Their quality of food is amazing and their choices for both breakfast and lunch are very unique with something for every appetite. And don't forget their desserts and amazing cookies.

Nice spot to go to. It's a small space with a hard-working staff. The Beer Cheese Pot Roast Sandwich was really good. Wish I lived closer to this place, I definitely would return.

Fairbury made a convenient stop on our trip from Indiana back to Wisconsin. You need to get off Hwy 24, but it is easy to find in the small downtown area. Really cute decorating, saluting the town's history. Very clean dining room, well kept restrooms. It's a small menu, but had several interesting options we would have gladly tried. Servers are young, but very friendly and knowedgeable about the menu which is actually a rare thing in this type of place. Our server was willing to offer suggestions and descriptions. Order was out very quickly. Food is served on mismatched vintage china, very cute. The server said people "donate" the old china they don't want to the restaurant. That is what a small town can do! I went with the french onion soup which was served with the cheese on a piece of toast on the side that I really kind of liked. Made eating it a lot easier than usual. They offer salads at full or half sized (much appreciated) so I tried the oriental ramen salad. Veggies were fresh and noodles and almonds were crunchy. Dressing was fine. it could have used some manadarin oranges. Husband tried the fish tacos with a Cajun sauce. Even though they initially had a very "fishy"smell (not sure what kind of fish was used). And yes, I know they were made of fish and might have a fishy smell, but we eat a lot of fish tacos and the ones made of cod, don't smell like that. We had to finish the meal with a shared homemade cinnamon roll. While not super large, all portions were fair and reasonably priced.
We ate peach salad ? ? and I forgot the meal but it was so good ?
