Gyros and fries were delicious. We stopped while traveling and were glad we did! The owners run the place and are very friendly.

Food is amazing! The Gyros are honestly the best I ever had. I would recommend to everyone. They also have a menu for the kiddos that aren't ready for a Gyro! The cheeseburgers are great too.

Spectacular eatery! It was everything I hoped for and more! Have followed this place on Facebook for a while now and finally got the chance to try it! Right off the bat we had to park in the back, and there were like 10 people ahead of us in line so I KNEW it was going to be great! It's a tiny little place, maybe 10 tables at the most, and the decor is a little dated which is just what I want in a hometown mom and pop shop. It being so small also guarantees that you're surrounded by amazing smells that are sure to make your mouth water! It also means that the food and service is so good they haven't had to try to spruce up the place to attract business! After maybe a 10 minute wait to order it was finally our turn. I believe it was Lilly taking our order, and the only other employee I saw was, I assume, her husband preparing all the food. Some people would find something wrong with this; the owners doing all the work. But personally I feel it guarantees authentic hospitality and a high quality meal every time! Another 10 or so minute wait and it was our turn to get our order. I opened the bag and gently spread out our meal on the table. The cabbage roll was reminiscent of my German grandmother's, although slightly sweeter. The spinach pie wasn't as big as I would have hoped, but the amazing flavor made up for it! The fried mushrooms were nothing short of amazing. And, above all, the gyro had SUCH an amazing flavor and consistency! None of that thinly sliced pre-packaged crap I've gotten at other places. Thick, juicy hunks of meat topped with fresh veg and smothered in "Lilly's Sauce", all wrapped in a soft, warm pita. Folks, it just doesn't get much better than this.I had every intention of ordering a falafel and baklava, but we barely finished what we had ordered, so it simply means I HAVE to go back as soon as I'm in the area! Overall this place gets a 9.5/10, with the only thing lacking as far as I'm concerned being that you must walk around the outside to reach the bathrooms. No big deal, and definitely doesn't effect the food one bit!Folks, this is one place you don't wanna miss..!

Family owned and operated business. Amazing gyro sandwiches. My go to when craving some gyros.

The food is definitely 5 star worthy. Absolutely the gyro I have ever had. This place is run by a Greek couple - you know it is authentic Greek when the wife wrote my name in Greek! She was such a sweet lady too. Both my friend and I ordered their lunch special consisting of a gyro, soda, and fries or side salad. Surprisingly they did not have Greek dressing for salad. Salad was pretty basic but lettuce was fresh and crisp. The gyro was loaded with meat. The reason for my 4 stars is the bathroom. Have to walk outside to back of the building to use restroom. When I went in the light would not come on. It took me 3x open and close door before the automatic light came on. The lock on door seemed pretty flimsy too. Summary: fantastic food but hopefully you won't need restroom.

Best gyro in the area. Their falafel is good too. Prices are reasonable and service is good. Daily specials are good as well.

Today, I was lucky enough to stumble upon Lily's Gyros while driving home from the Kansas City area (I live in Carbondale, IL). I wanted a good lunch, not the same chain fast food stuff, and had always heard small local places were the best. Wow, is that ever true in this case. The woman at the counter, whom I'm assuming is Lily, was sweet and kind and addressed me by name by looking at my credit card. They serve classic, messy gyros here with plenty of delicious meat, sour cream, real onions and tomatoes. Offering a side of either fries or a side salad is a good idea. Today, I chose the salad but may choose the fries next time. A woman also dining there told me that one of the reasons they close so early is they always run out of food! It's easy to understand why! I'll be back for sure anytime I'm near Fairview Heights.

Good place to eat once in a while. Nothing special. Decent pricing. The interior is old and dated.

The Gyros were amazing, the fries were crispy, and the lady working (I'm assuming Lilly) was very friendly. We will definitely be coming back.
