“Shanahan's is one of my favorite places in Forest Park, I moved from Forest Park a few years ago but I still go to Shanahan's every chance I get. Their food is always excellent and they have the best staff on the street, they always remember my name and my order. I will give them more than 5 stars if I could!!“

“Fish and Chips was good. The fish is on the soft side and not really crispy, which could be a good or bad thing depending on what you prefer. I liked it. The curry ketchup was interesting and I thought it was a good addition. Fries were good. Onion soup was too salty but otherwise excellent. The bangers and mash was airy light and balanced---a very good and faithful rendition of the real thing.“

“Cash bar. Local dive bar with occasional live music. No food is served here but they allow you to have it delivered there. Laid back place with very friendly bartenders. There's usually always someone playing instruments or live performances. You'll probably fine me here at least once a week.“

“The team working was great, friendly, attentive and that alone provided a fantastic atmosphere. We arrived with a group of 14 and they made sure we (and everyone) were all taken care of throughout the evening. Good drink specials, good music all in the heart of a Chicago neighborhood sounds like a winner to me. We will be returning, and if you’re ever in the neighborhood you should stop by. “Last time we had the wings they were delicious, this Thursday they were dry, like they were sitting under a heat lamp and then tossed in sauce Disappointed. Had a BLT it was good! Husband had the chicken panini. It was delicious. Yes, we highly recommend going here. I think that the wait staff needs some more training. 👍“

“Rose and Jake were phenomenal!! It was a tuesday and they were busy as expected but the service was amazing! Rose was busting her butt taking all the tables and making PHENOMENAL drinks, while Jake checked on us if Rose couldn’t and helped run drinks to us. We didn’t have to wait for anything despite the business, overall an amazing experience and both of them deserve a raise! Both were so friendly and personable that my friend and I have already scheduled the next time for us to come visit and have a few drinks!“

“We went at Christmas time. They decorate the restaurant from the ceiling to the floor in lights. You can't help but get in the festive mood. We did make reservations and we came earlier and they still sat us. The staff was very friendly. I started with a cocktail called the Ramblers Rest. It was tasty. I could really taste the pomegranate notes. For appetizers we got the poutine. It is okay. For dinner I got the chef's wedge salad it was delicious. The homemade ranch dressing and the bacon bits totally made the salad. My hubby got their shepherd's pie. He said it was great. They have Coke products. They have a private area, and plenty of seating options. They have two fire places. I definitely want to go back during the summer. It looks like they have a large patio. Oh and they have a no stroller rule in the restaurant.

“The atmosphere was rocking. Great crowd , always packed for York dukes football. Unfortunately witnessed non-dukes fans being jerks to the bartenders. Bartenders handled themselves well and kept the party going. Now watch me hit this 290 yard drive.“

Jack was there to help me get tables together for a party of 10. we had a wonderful time but even better was the service. the food was good. the drinks were great but the service was immaculate! “I remember reading in the paper some time ago about a new chicken place that was opening up, but I had forgotten about it. I was looking for a new place to try in the neighborhood and blazin b's came up. Me and my girlfriend went to try the chicken sandwiches and they were phenomenal! I got the fried j*** chicken sandwich, and she got the fried blazin chicken sandwich, both served with potato wedges (pure awesomeness). Let's not forget the side of mac and cheese which was a great addition coupled with some great beers from the Trinity. I'm sad I haven't been here sooner, but all in all, I will definitely be coming back here for the food and drinks!“
