“Chuy is the best bartender AND the fish'n'chips are the best in the city of Chicago, bar none! The cod is so fresh and flavorful, the batter is deep fried to perfection, the "chips" are perfectly done, tartar sauce delicious, and the cole slaw is pretty good too! Great beer selection and wines are good. We will be back!“
“Food: amazing. Drinks: amazing. Service: amazing. Ambiance: amazing. Really though. The wings are huge so you’re actually getting your money’s worth for once. Pizza is fantastic (think cheese-pull) and their selection of beers seltzers and ciders is impressive for a place this size! Our server, Shawn, was so attentive and covered all the menus for us! Even recommended adding chorizo to their poblano corn dip, which was a total game changer. 100% worth a stop in if you haven’t been yet! Sit by their fireplace!“
“As huge fans of Irish pubs, my boyfriend and I were really excited to stop inside of Miller's Pub and it did not disappoint! We received excellent service at the bar and I really enjoyed all of the historical aspects and decor of the place.I enjoyed my hot chocolate and my boyfriend was impressed with the draft beer selection- can't wait to return when we are in Chicago next!“
“the bar is just the kind of place you want to hang out on st paddy’s. it was $20 cash cover charge at the door, but they did not limit how many people were in the bar based on that; the entire place was extremelycrowded. which was to be expected. the drinks were great. the bathrooms were not up to par in my opinion; in the women’s restroom you can see into the stalls because the stall doors are only 3-4 feet tall so that is really uncomfortable. and in such a crowded bar, there was a sizable line for the bathroom. all in all, i wish they would have limited more the number of people that they let in at one time. it was better earlier in the day. but again, it was expected on the holiday.“
“Galway Arms is the best ‘local’ in Chicago! Great craft beers, great Guinness, Superb food - the Lamb Shank is 2nd to none and for brunch - the Full English Breakfast is fantastic! And the place is full of friendly regulars and the staff are the best!“
“Gorgeous venue and delicious food!! We went for dinner on Good Friday with our two little kids. Juan, our server, was so kind and patient and funny and helpful. The place itself is so beautiful: so cosy with a fire and books and big armchairs. Excellent menu. Food was delicious and even my picky kids tucked in. Highly recommend.Kid-friendliness: High chair available as well as colouring in paper and crayons and free ice cream. The whole staff team were really patient and kind and warm.“
“The bar tender was a gem. Accidentally walked in to see what they had available and ended up spending a couple hours enjoying the bartenders conversation and got one of the best old fashioned I'd ever had. Thanks for making Chicago exploration fun. Hope to get to your brother's bar downtown.“
“My first visit there. Saw promo on TV. However, I was not aware that there was a cover charge. I assume coverage for the live entertainment. I enjoyed both the Irish band music and the Trinity Children Dancers. The food was right on point! Authentic Irish corn beef/cabbage. It was a bit crowded and noisy, but that was to be expected--it was St. Patrick's Day!“
“Really cool bar. The best that Western has to offer. Inside is nice. They expanded and now have two party rooms. The real draw is the beer garden outside. It’s huge and has lush vegetation surrounding a ton of tables. The bartenders could work a little faster. The manager looks like the guy from The Hills Have Eyes but he’s really nice. I love coming here.“
“We came for St. Patty’s and let me tell you. This place is doing it right! Maria from Tipperary was wonderful, slinging drinks and making sure to let the Guiness settle before topping it off. They served food all day, and kept the crowd to a good level. Killled it!!!“
“The Corrib Irish Pub is the perfect place for a night out or just simply to grab a drink. The atmosphere is amazing and the music is great. It's an old school style pub with great service and delicious drinks. It's definitely worth a visit.“
“this was the first time we ever visited the Irish American Heritage Center and it was for a baby shower. It is a pretty nice place to have a baby shower because they have rooms that are catered and perfect to host. what I heard they also utilize some of the rooms for teaching Irish dance classes. There are four floors of rooms to be utilized. There are also ample parking on both sides of the building. It is conveniently located next to that I 94 Expressway What's very interesting about this place as they also have a bar like restaurant on the first floor.“
“It was alright. Lotta pool sharks; but they were cool.I bought a beer and tipped on it — but fer some reason the bartender wouldn't take it?(It's not, like, I gave a her pocket change. It was $3 on a, like, $4 beer.)That was weird.Karaoke is always fun, tho'.“
“Excellent food, service & atmosphere! Home cooked meals there for dinner too. Weekends really delicious roast dinner w/ good side dishes. Good drinks & nice atmosphere. Even Irish music on Sunday afternoons! Always a good experience there every time. I highly recommend checking this place out! ❤️“
“Believe it or not, my love wears a claddagh ring that I purchased for her when we enjoyed an amazing trip to Ireland earlier this year. So we knew we had to visit the Claddagh Ring Pub one of these days. This neighborhood pub on Foster Avenue received some interesting "pub" earlier this season when they promised to pay for all patrons' tabs if the Bears lost to the Broncos, and sure enough the Bears blew a big lead and Claddagh Ring Pub wound up on the news because of the promo. We finally made it here one random Sunday afternoon as we stumbled in after another Bears loss. The bar was pretty packed, but the owner was super friendly to us. He noted that there was a back room with some elbow room, along with some free tavern style pizza that was not gobbled up yet by the fans. Later when I went up to the bar to order drinks, he made sure that I had the chance to place a drink order with minimal waiting. What a swell guy! Loved my pint of Guinness! Perhaps we looked like newbies, but he really seemed to care about us with his customer service. Check out their website for sports specials and happy hour deals. After our enjoyable visit, my love and I look forward to a return visit to Claddagh Ring Pub.“
“Wonderful find great Irish Pub, we were looking for a new go to after the Curragh closed down in the area and this is it, food was amazing my wife and I both had the Shepherds Pie and it was surprisingly good along with a some tasty homemade brown bread, along with the perfect pour of Guinness the vibe and feel of the place was great the service was great even on a Saturday night..great job guys,5 stars all around, our first visit and won't be our last...☘️“
“Came from out of state after a White Sox game. Not only was the Italian Beef Sandwich EXCELLENT, the beer was cold, and Jake was probably the best bartender we’ve ever had! His service was impeccable with a smile and a great attitude. Will definitely be returning on our next trip to Chicago! Wonderful experience.“
“This is a wonderful local dive bar! I live around the corner and started coming here a few weeks ago. The regulars and bartenders are very friendly. There is live music on Friday and Saturday evenings. The place does get pretty full, but the people watching is always on point. One thing to note is that they don't serve food, which is a bummer when the 1am drunk food cravings hit. Pretty clean bathrooms for a dive bar too so that's a huge plus!“
“I truly enjoyed my first visit for lunch here. I was recommended the bluecheese burger with apple wood bacon and sweet potato fries. I was not disappointed with the flavor.Service was great staff is all friendly and promptIll definitely be back to try other meal options. And explore the interior more“
“Popped in for a thirst quencher after a long journey from the UK. had a lager (miller) to wash away the day, then settled into a cracking pint of Guinness. wow, that travelled well - cracking pint also.happy, helpful staffstarters of wings and also nachos.... exactly what me and the Mrs wanted. lovley old job! here for a few days....as in the famous words or Arnie.... I'll br back!“
“We visited the pub over St. Patrick's Day weekend. As you can imagine, it was a crazy busy place but so much fun and well worth the wait to get in. The food was simple and good. The live bands were fantastic. We had so much fun and loved theice-cold Guiness beer. ?“
“The team working was great, friendly, attentive and that alone provided a fantastic atmosphere. We arrived with a group of 14 and they made sure we (and everyone) were all taken care of throughout the evening. Good drink specials, good music all in the heart of a Chicago neighborhood sounds like a winner to me. We will be returning, and if you’re ever in the neighborhood you should stop by. Thanks Six Penny Team. Steve O Rodriguez on behalf of LBSC.“
“On this night, we visited our local Iowa Hawkeye bar, Gracie O’Malley’s to enjoy some NCAA women’s basketball amazing number 22 Kaitlyn Clark. This bar is pretty big and well appointed, with lots of TVs for viewing and an outdoor seating area when the weather permits. They have grace solution of beers in full bar with some delightful proprietary cocktails.Their kitchen is banging out some amazing dishes, such as the pulled pork poutine, the grace, O’Malley‘s burger and the southwest chicken sandwich. The burger was juicy and delicious. The chicken sandwich was crispy and spicy and you came on a brioche bun. Topped with fresh tomatoes and purple onions. Very well and very tasty. I paired it with mac & cheese, which is not a traditional mac & cheese by any means. This mac & cheese was out of this world. Fantastic! The only reason why this place did not get a five star rating was because they were short a waitress on this particular Monday. However, our bartender was very social and accommodating. Will definitely be back again for final four.“
“Had a lovely time at this bar one weekday this summer. We were in town with our dogs and looking for dog friendly spots to hang out. River Shannon touts itself as *the* dog bar in the city so we decided to give it a try. I went to DePaul so I was very familiar with the area, but had somehow never been here. We made our way over near opening and were the only ones there for the first couple of hours. The bartender did a great job chatting with us, and we had fun swapping bar and restaurant recommendations. Our dogs mostly chilled out and occasionally greeted other guests who entered with their pups. Drinks were reasonably priced and the space is a very classic Chicago bar--lots of wood paneling and history. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a laid back space, and especially if you like dogs.“
“I like to go here on Saturday night for a drink when I want a taste of some live jazz/blues music. You do not need to plan ahead an get tickets, pay a cover or worry about parking. It is a very intimate setting where you really see the musicians close enough to see their fingers moving and shared ques between the band members. Everyone is pretty friendly and the drinks are priced right. Would recommend if you need a quick Blues fix on a Saturday night.“
“This is the best pour of Guinness I’ve ever had. We are visiting Chicago from Texas and visited multiple bars, even the Guinness brewery. We can confidently say this is hands down the best Guinness and atmosphere by far from any other place we have tried. If you are in the area definitely give this bar a try - you won’t regret it.“
