“Love 5i - went with a few friends and ended up falling in love. We have the membership and I started playing three times a week. Not only is it a fun environment to improve my game but everyone is super friendly and the food is spot on.

We randomly booked my wife’s birthday party here, admittedly because there was no contracted minimums and we didn’t want to be checking receipts all night, but the upstairs party space is the best. kept. secret. in all of Chicago. They just give it to you, small cleaning fee. And the space is amazing. Multiple rooms, private/amazing staff, private pool area with great second story views, dedicated speaker system. The drinks were amazing and the event concierge (Frank) will not rest until your party is the toast of the city. Food was also great! Everyone at our party said it was the best they’ve been to in a while. Secret is out. One of the best nights of our lives.“

“We came all the way from Naperville to eat here, and it was absolutely worth it. The burek and its varieties are incredibly fresh, and the owners are very kind. The taste of the burek was just like my grandmother’s, it almost made me cry. I haven’t had burek this good in a very long time. We also had the cevapi, and it tasted just like the ones I had at Mostar. No matter how far you are, you should definitely stop by this place.“

“The perfect bar, I fear. I can’t believe I have ANY pictures in this place because I’m always just talking to someone or playing pool or queueing up songs on the jukebox. There’s something about this place that you can’t really take a picture of: the people are always friendly and chill, you can tell it has a low staff turnover rate, the food is ALWAYS good. This is the kind of bar which would be the ultimate muse for a poet from the 1800s. My one drink photo is an espresso martini that was made with love, but know that they put just as much love into every beer they pour. It just isn’t as instagrammable.“

“The Vegan Birria Tacos (hibiscus flowers, spicy dipping sauce, vegan cheese, cilantro, onion, elote salad) are excellent. There were some very interesting flavors, the tacos have amazing variances in texture and a variety of flavors in a bite sweet, sour, tangy and just a little bit of heat. Great rotating draft beer options. The decor is very interesting with a huge dragon artwork on the ceiling in the bar area. I can wait to come back.“

“We had a wonderful time going for the first time for a friend’s birthday. Our server Micky was so friendly and accommodating! The owner generously comped some drinks for us as first time customers. The plantains with the onion-forward dipping sauce were phenomenal. The Brussels sprouts had a lovely balsamic glaze topped with creamy goat cheese. Several of us ordered burgers with side salads, and the greens were of high quality. The standard vinaigrette offered was a wonderful blend of tangy and subtlety sweet. The smash burger patties were cooked well with crisp edges while maintaining a juicy interior. The garlic parm fries had a crisp exterior and fluffy texture. Everything was phenomenal, and Micky even helped us with the cake our friend made and brought. Do yourself a favor and come check this spot out!“

No Duff's here, but there is always a better than average and sometimes exceptional tap lineup for beer geeks. “They have the best cheeseburger in Chicago. I went there in 2012, and 2013 on Kedzie, and omg it’s the best. I used to live in Highland Indiana and I took public transportation which it was GPTC bus to Downtown Hammond, and pace bus from Downtown Hammond Indiana to Downtown Harvey Illinois, and pace 349 from Harvey Transportation Center to 111th and Western, and CTA Route #112 bus from 111th and Western to 111th and Kedzie. Well now since I finally move to Chicago Auburn Gresham with my fiancé, and now I live 15 minutes away. I take 79th Street bus from 79th and Ashland to 79th and Kedzie, and transfer to CTA Route #52A Southbound and go all way to 111th and Kedzie. I’m even more glad you guys reopened which I had no idea where you guys relocated at Thanks to my friend Tracy for telling me where it is. I went there with my fiancé Raymon. I’m so glad you guys are amazing, and the service was great too. I’ll be back. This place is even very affordable.“

“I attended a Private Retirement party here and it was amazing from beginning to end! This neighborhood gem had plenty of seating, great food, great service and the drinks were top shelf!

The DJ was AMAZING and the sound quality was spot on. There were board games, Jenga and everyone had an amazing time. The host put her spin on it with the decorations and photo booth but the owners really made you feel WELCOME!“

“My group of 7 ate here 5/31/25 during my Bachelorette party and everything was wonderful. I had made a reservation, but due to some train delays we were running late. The hostess called to verify we were still coming and pushed our reservation back to accommodate us. The appetizers we had were delicious (Kung pao cauliflower, pretzel bites, and the spinach and artichoke dip). Everyone loved their food and raved about the tater tots. Lol At the end a manager brought us over two complimentary skillet cookies and a round of champagne to toast. I have a friend who is sober and the manager went and got her a sparkling grapefuit without a second of hesitation. I truly appreciated all of it. There is a 3% service fee that they will remove if you ask. We had them remove the fee and left that money as more tip for the server. I will note that for our large party they can only split a check in two or have it all on one. The hostess that I spoke to originally did inform me of this when I made my reservation, but it is something to keep in mind.“

“My friends and I have come to Southport Betty’s a few times now and we have always enjoyed ourselves, but after spending the better part of our day their yesterday, camped out for the Bears game, there are several things that now stand out to me that this bar totally nails on the head.
1. Good crowd control. They had a line outside and while the bar was packed (it was a bears playoff game) we weren’t like sardines smushed into the bar.
2. Ordering all your drinks at the bar instead of opting to have your table waited on by a waitress is such a smart move and they execute it well. We had a group of 8 people at our table - no worries about splitting bills at the end of the night because we had our own tabs at the bar. Same thing goes for the food.
3. We never had to wait long at the bar for a drink. It was chicago bears playoff game, as busy as it will get, and they maintained appropriate staffing so we always got our drink right away.
4. The entire staff was just nice. It’s not uncommon for bartenders to get short with you in a packed house, but seriously everyone who worked there was just genuinely nice.
5. The food was good. Better than average bar food for sure.
6. I love that the seats have backs. Sitting on a barstool for long periods of time usually end in me standing.
Overall 10/10 experience, this place is well run.“
