“We needed a place to stay close to the Concord music hall, and found the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern. Every element of our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The menu at the inn was a purposefully short, curated list of bar food, and everything we tried was incredible. The tavern had a great neighborhood feel, and the room we stayed in was well-appointed, and just right for my wife and me. We met the owners within a few moments of arriving, and immediately felt welcomed. I highly recommend the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern to anyone looking for a hidden gem of a place to stay while visiting Chicago. We can't wait until we travel north again, because we know where we are staying! 5 stars! A++++“

“Rating the service based on the service I received, not the service I didn’t. ?When I came in, it was about 50 min after opening, and service was just picking up due to the concert scheduled for next door. There was one guy was behind the bar who was actively helping the slowly growing crowd, and he took my drink order and made it up for me while I looked over the menu. VERY well balanced drink!!A few minutes after 5, a lady showed up. It quickly became clear that it was both of their first days, because no one knew the discount code for the concert hall staff from next door. How management let that happen on a show night, I’m not sure. ? Rafael handled it like a pro, though.A few minutes after came in and she set her stuff down, Rafael suggested she take my food order while he helped the rest of the people he had at the bar and tables behind me. She turned back to the bar wall and didn’t respond or look in my direction at all. She instead read the menu for a bit, then carried her bank around for a while, then walked to the POS and hopped on her phone for a call. The food & bev manager in me was dying, but I’m not a jerk, so I just waited. And waited. It eventually worked out in my favor because Rafael realized she wasn’t going to help me and continued taking care of me.She finally took on a single bar guest about half an hour after she set her stuff down.Drinks were stellar, and the Bang Bang Shrimp was good! Panko is an interesting choice instead of tempura, but it wasn’t bad!!5/5 for Rafael & Restaurant Atmosphere4/5 for Food3/5 for the MIA management4/5 OverallI’ll 100% be back next time I have a show next door, but I probably wouldn’t stay if it was just her behind the bar. No hate, just very underwhelmed.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs to enter or get around, and I believe there were low tops near the front, and outside when the weather is good. The tables in the back half are high tops though, so keep it in mind that accessible seating IS a bit limited.“

It was pretty busy for 3 pm, but we got a hi top table and placed our orders right away. We had a couple of Old Styles, and I tried the Krombacher pilsner. It was the beer of the month and very good. My wife and daughter joined us about an hour later and had a couple of drinks. This seemed to be a less expensive bar than most we visited in Chicago. That's always a good thing! And some dishes like hummus plate, which consisted of cut up carrots and cucumber with pita bread and a large spoonful of hummus, was not worthwhile at $14. Same goes for a bowl of Irish cabbage soup for $10. Having said, other items like chicken wings and burgers were quite delicious and were worth paying little more for them. She even gave my grand daughter a T shirt with "Turtles" on it so we will remember to eat there again next time we are in Chicago! The food now, well the hamburgers were awesome, I recommend them! Salads were fresh and giid! Try the pulled pork, that was really good!! Personally I can bet, anything on the menu is great what! “I was in town visiting folks and friends for the weekend and ended up here yesterday afternoon. Katie and Chelsea were here, both super friendly, helpful, and professional. Makes it easy to be here and relax before flying back home (Chicago was home for me for 20+ years until March 2020...then I left for suburbia and ahome where I got more bang for my buck.I miss it here. Today I had a "lighter" lunch, meaning size, not caloric heh heh. I ordered the tomato soup, which came with garlic bread. It is basically a thick slice of Pullman bread that has shaved garlic that is very noticeable when the dish comes out. The soup was tasty, piping hot and I did eat only a little of the garlic bread because of my flight home and not wanting to get murdered by my seat neighbor for stinky breath. I LOVE garlic so I'll be back for this dish next time I'm in town and have time to clean up my breath after eating. So the reason I skipped most of the bread was because I saw that they had a sausage pizza puff on the menu. This was one of my guilty pleasures when I lived here. It's not a healthy item by any means, usually it's deep fried but I think this one was baked- wasn't super greasy (if it was deep fried then the chef crushed it and let it sit so the excess oil would drain....but I SWEAR in my mind this was not deep fried)It wasn't busy because there was no football on this weekend, and it was quiet enough to be able to talk with the friendly team working here. A really enjoyable time!Support small owned businesses! Thank you Katie and Chelsea for an awesome quick stop before my flight home yesterday. I already miss the people and the food. Down here in the south, guilty pleasure foods just hit different.I'd have taken photos but I destroyed the dishes so quickly so I am sorry. The next visit I will get the same items, or a burger (they're amazing here!) and post the pics.“

“Great spot for families. Rocks definitely flies under the radar considering how many bars are on Lincoln but we love this place. They have a good kids menu and a spacious dining area, along with some bar games. We usually see a few other families there if we do an early dinner with the kids. The side patio is great in the summer as well.Kid-friendliness: Great for kids“

“The food was good; the waitress was polite and attentive. The prices were okay. The restaurant is clean. The only thing I don't like, and it's not the restaurant's fault you have to pay for street parking. The business should complain to the alderperson about this.“

“Visited here around 1:00 in the afternoon with 2 other people and the food was pretty good, but the service was not so great. They should have a sign saying to seat yourself because no one was available to direct us and another patron told us to seat ourself. Although the server was nice, she was pretty much absent the entire time. We had ask for the table to be wiped twice which took a while and after receiving our appetizers, we had to wait for her to come back again to ask for silverware. We had to ask another server to get our waitress because she wasn't around. After asking for our bill, it took her a while to come back for the payment and then we had to question her as to why a gratuity charge was on our bill when it shouldn't have been added until after 4pm for a party of 6 or more (only 3 of us present).“

“So my partner and I just walked in because we read it was a 40's decorated bar, and it was on our way to a show at the Riviera. The food was great, the atmosphere perfectly casual, and the service...my God, the service. We want to give a shout out to our server, Walter, who was the most delightful being we have ever experienced. He was prompt, energetic, and fun. I don't think I've ever had a server who was so excited to do their job, and for that, we thank you, Walter. You and your magnificent anime protagonist hair.“
