“The taquitos are quite good. And the home made salsas are fab. You need to try both! But the tomatillo avocado was my favorite. The drinks were nice and they have a nice local craft beer selection. The piña poblano was spicy and the draft margarita was delicious.“

“This was our first time in as we just moved to the neighborhood and we loved it! We had come from dinner but decided we wanted some snacks. We had the fried pickles, pretzels, & ice cream with churros-- I was surprised but oh so happy they had some kind of dessert. The bartender was a super nice guy-- very friendly. He checked on us often and never left us waiting for anything. The interior was really cute and about what you expect for a corner/ neighborhood bar. We will for sure be back-- so glad we gave it a try!“

“I'm a frequent visitor to Chicago for work and my office is right across the street from this 5i location - always have a blast, and the staff is awesome. I played this morning with a few colleagues and we were treated extremely well - Justin was exceptionally great - easy to work with and accommodated our needs. Can't wait to be back!“

“Every venue in Chicago needs to take notes from Reggies in terms of ventilation. It is SO nice to be at a show where there are large fans that can actually be felt AND fresh air being pumped into the crowd. Not only is this venue visually pleasing with something interesting to look at everywhere you turn, but it has multiple seating options and a floor that slants down towards the stage, which makes the viewing experience better for everyone.I cannot understate how nice it was to be able to breathe clean air at a metal show. Big thanks to whoever’s decision that was.I’m going to make it a point to keep up on their upcoming shows because it was such a pleasant experience overall.“

“This was THE BEST Latin American food fusion I have ever experienced! Everything we ordered was not only delicious, but just as attractive in presentation. Also, the staff was so attentive and engaging. We had the honor of being introduced to the chef and shared how pleased we were with his culinary selections. Don’t pass on the drinks, especially the Pina Colada shots, for they were the perfect compliment to each dish. I highly recommend this restaurant for its authentic ambience, friendly staff and mesmerizing menu.“

“Hidden gem in Budlong Woods/Arcadia terrace. Maria’s cooking is amazing and Anri makes an incredible cocktail. The crowd is usually 30 and 40 somethings. Music also perfect for an elder Millenial like me. Every friend and neighbor I introduce to Rosewood falls in love for good reason. 5 stars all around.“

“We are in town from KC & we were told to come here to watch the Chiefs game. We walked into a great place 95% full of Chiefs fans for the game. We had 5 star service (thank you Gloria!) and really amazing food. (Burgers, sweet potato waffle fries & homemade sriracha mayo) Yes bar food menu but REALLY good. Everyone was super friendly & we just felt so welcome. I would come here again in a heartbeat & if I was a local I’d become a regular. Thanks guys!“

“Very fairly priced hotdogs, polish, burgers and more. There is a nice drink choice with import, domestic, and local area favorites. You have multiple burger choices. There is a wondering, fish and chips, and other choices. Service was stellar. On a Saturday night the restaurant was full. Parking is a little challenging, but does rotate spaces in a timely manner.“

“Best Burgers! Took my husband there once and now I can't get him to go anywhere else. His words "Why chance somewhere else when Kuma's is always on point!" The Burgers are huge with a new Burger of the Month that keeps the menu fresh.Every Burger is delicious and totally different making it impossible to pick one. Also you can substitute the beef with Chicken! ? Atmosphere is great with cult classic movies playing behind the heavy metal music. Oh and let's not forget the beer/liquor selection!“

“They have great outdoor seating and a large menu for both food and drink. The service was a little slow as it seemed they only had one waitress who was waiting on the entire outdoor section, but that isn’t enough to make me not come back to this neighborhood spot.“

“We stopped in here twice, once on Saturday looking for a spot to watch the game (March Madness) but there was no room for us. It was very lively and festive inside, made me want to come back. We came back again on Sunday night around 9pm, it was dead in there, a few people at the bar and 2 other tables had people at there, plus us. There was a musty smell inside, not sure if it always smells that way. The drinks were fine, the service was fine. I loved how decorated and fun looking the decor was to me.“

“Rating the service based on the service I received, not the service I didn’t. ?When I came in, it was about 50 min after opening, and service was just picking up due to the concert scheduled for next door. There was one guy was behind the bar who was actively helping the slowly growing crowd, and he took my drink order and made it up for me while I looked over the menu. VERY well balanced drink!!A few minutes after 5, a lady showed up. It quickly became clear that it was both of their first days, because no one knew the discount code for the concert hall staff from next door. How management let that happen on a show night, I’m not sure. ? Rafael handled it like a pro, though.A few minutes after came in and she set her stuff down, Rafael suggested she take my food order while he helped the rest of the people he had at the bar and tables behind me. She turned back to the bar wall and didn’t respond or look in my direction at all. She instead read the menu for a bit, then carried her bank around for a while, then walked to the POS and hopped on her phone for a call. The food & bev manager in me was dying, but I’m not a jerk, so I just waited. And waited. It eventually worked out in my favor because Rafael realized she wasn’t going to help me and continued taking care of me.She finally took on a single bar guest about half an hour after she set her stuff down.Drinks were stellar, and the Bang Bang Shrimp was good! Panko is an interesting choice instead of tempura, but it wasn’t bad!!5/5 for Rafael & Restaurant Atmosphere4/5 for Food3/5 for the MIA management4/5 OverallI’ll 100% be back next time I have a show next door, but I probably wouldn’t stay if it was just her behind the bar. No hate, just very underwhelmed.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs to enter or get around, and I believe there were low tops near the front, and outside when the weather is good. The tables in the back half are high tops though, so keep it in mind that accessible seating IS a bit limited.“

“Awesome neighborhood bar in Roscoe! My wife and daughter wanted to visit a bookstore, so my son and I visited here just two doors down. It was pretty busy for 3 pm, but we got a hi top table and placed our orders right away. We had a couple of Old Styles, and I tried the Krombacher pilsner. It was the beer of the month and very good. My wife and daughter joined us about an hour later and had a couple of drinks. This seemed to be a less expensive bar than most we visited in Chicago. That's always a good thing! Service was outstanding! I can't get over these beautiful Chicago bars. Long and narrow. Awesome architecture. Perfect setup here at Village Tap! Will definitely try and make it back here on our next visit to Chicago.“

“Pleasantly surprised by this place located on Bryn Mawr between Kedzie and Kimball. The initial impression was that the prices on the menu seemed a bit high given its location. And some dishes like hummus plate, which consisted of cut up carrots and cucumber with pita bread and a large spoonful of hummus, was not worthwhile at $14. Same goes for a bowl of Irish cabbage soup for $10. Having said, other items like chicken wings and burgers were quite delicious and were worth paying little more for them. Given their great beer selection and wonderful cocktails, it is worth a visit.“

“My first visit there. Saw promo on TV. However, I was not aware that there was a cover charge. I assume coverage for the live entertainment. I enjoyed both the Irish band music and the Trinity Children Dancers. The food was right on point! Authentic Irish corn beef/cabbage. It was a bit crowded and noisy, but that was to be expected--it was St. Patrick's Day!“

“Lovely staff and their hyper awareness of the guests' needs make Standard a guaranteed stop for myself and my friends. The manager, Matt and owner Aaron, have dedicated countless hours and accepted customer input to make Standard the best sports bar on Milwaukee. I drink more than I eat when imbibing, but the food that I've had is very good. The staff, Megan, Jelena, Alex, and Vanessa are all exceedingly professional. Standard also has the Marquee Sports network, so I can watch my Cubs here once spring training ends, hopefully sooner then later. Cheers“

“My group(all family!), we were from our of town on vacation and happened upon this gem of a bar and grill by asking customer service at Shedd Aquarium! It was maybe 10 mins by car... from the minute you walk in you feel very welcome, Carrie, our server, mentioned she has been there for 14 yrs and it showed! She knew all the patrons, treated our group like family ! She made us feel special ! She even gave my grand daughter a T shirt with "Turtles" on it so we will remember to eat there again next time we are in Chicago! The food now, well the hamburgers were awesome, I recommend them! Salads were fresh and giid! Try the pulled pork, that was really good!! Personally I can bet, anything on the menu is great what! And when you go, I hope Carrie is working , you will seriously return!! What a way to end our trip , good food and fantastic service!Parking: Street parking only that I could see, but it's a neighborhood bar and grille and it's a stone's throw away from the White Sox field!! Very cool !!Kid-friendliness: It is a bar and grill but we had 2 kids under 10 yrs old with our group and wonderful server, Carrie allowed us to put tables together so we were able to enjoy the great food! There is a kids menu or the sliders worked fine!“

“I used to run a trucking account for a mega carrier that delivered right down the street from here. I'm not lying when I say this is the only bar I've ever drank in. Chicago doesn't allow beer sales in convenience stores I guess. Was recommended that I buy a six pack here. I was not disappointed in the slightest. I tell stories down in Georgia about this place from time to time. It's like a legend to all my friends... None of them can get me to drink in a bar to this day. Cheers guys..“

“I was in town visiting folks and friends for the weekend and ended up here yesterday afternoon. Katie and Chelsea were here, both super friendly, helpful, and professional. Makes it easy to be here and relax before flying back home (Chicago was home for me for 20+ years until March 2020...then I left for suburbia and ahome where I got more bang for my buck.I miss it here. Today I had a "lighter" lunch, meaning size, not caloric heh heh. I ordered the tomato soup, which came with garlic bread. It is basically a thick slice of Pullman bread that has shaved garlic that is very noticeable when the dish comes out. The soup was tasty, piping hot and I did eat only a little of the garlic bread because of my flight home and not wanting to get murdered by my seat neighbor for stinky breath. I LOVE garlic so I'll be back for this dish next time I'm in town and have time to clean up my breath after eating. So the reason I skipped most of the bread was because I saw that they had a sausage pizza puff on the menu. This was one of my guilty pleasures when I lived here. It's not a healthy item by any means, usually it's deep fried but I think this one was baked- wasn't super greasy (if it was deep fried then the chef crushed it and let it sit so the excess oil would drain....but I SWEAR in my mind this was not deep fried)It wasn't busy because there was no football on this weekend, and it was quiet enough to be able to talk with the friendly team working here. A really enjoyable time!Support small owned businesses! Thank you Katie and Chelsea for an awesome quick stop before my flight home yesterday. I already miss the people and the food. Down here in the south, guilty pleasure foods just hit different.I'd have taken photos but I destroyed the dishes so quickly so I am sorry. The next visit I will get the same items, or a burger (they're amazing here!) and post the pics.“

“The food was good; the waitress was polite and attentive. The prices were okay. The restaurant is clean. The only thing I don't like, and it's not the restaurant's fault you have to pay for street parking. The business should complain to the alderperson about this.“

“Visited here around 1:00 in the afternoon with 2 other people and the food was pretty good, but the service was not so great. They should have a sign saying to seat yourself because no one was available to direct us and another patron told us to seat ourself. Although the server was nice, she was pretty much absent the entire time. We had ask for the table to be wiped twice which took a while and after receiving our appetizers, we had to wait for her to come back again to ask for silverware. We had to ask another server to get our waitress because she wasn't around. After asking for our bill, it took her a while to come back for the payment and then we had to question her as to why a gratuity charge was on our bill when it shouldn't have been added until after 4pm for a party of 6 or more (only 3 of us present).“

“We needed a place to stay close to the Concord music hall, and found the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern. Every element of our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The menu at the inn was a purposefully short, curated list of bar food, and everything we tried was incredible. The tavern had a great neighborhood feel, and the room we stayed in was well-appointed, and just right for my wife and me. We met the owners within a few moments of arriving, and immediately felt welcomed. I highly recommend the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern to anyone looking for a hidden gem of a place to stay while visiting Chicago. We can't wait until we travel north again, because we know where we are staying! 5 stars! A++++“
