“If you’re thinking of mimosas and good food on a Saturday morning. Parlay might just have to be your best bet! Perfect location to come in after Friday night hangs and just enjoy company with friends. Did I mention the mimosas are bottomless? Sports & Brunch enthusiasts you’ll love this place.“
“Great place and a great addition to the neighborhood. I’ve been here a few times now and enjoyed everything I’ve had. Great cocktails too. The couple that opened it are wonderful people. The staff and owners are super friendly and attentive.“
“Great beer selection. Really good service. OK food. Cesar salad had way too much dressing and the grilled chicken was bone dry. Kale salad was uninspiring. Pretzel nugget appetizer was great. Maybe if stick to barfood and would have had s better experience.“
“Went with a group of friends celebrating a birthday and the staff were amazing!! Paul was so nice and social with our whole group! I definitely rate this place 5/5 and plan on stopping anytime I’m in the city!! Thanks again for all of the hospitality!“
“My husband and I were in Chicago for a convention a couple of weeks ago. While I was getting ready for the day he was watching the news and says to me "we need to try this place". As y'all know from my other reviews he is a pizza perfectionist :) On the morning spotlight segment was this place called Whiskey Girl Tavern and they were talking how they are known for their hot honey pepperoni pizza and chicken tenders (which sell out).We didn't get to go to it that day and the next day we kept debating between that one and Robert's pizza which had been recommended. Well he couldn't get the image of their pizza out of his mind, so we hopped in a Uber and took the 25min ride to check it out.We sat at the best seat in the house ... the corner bar where we had the pleasure of meeting and talking to the best bar manager, Phil!! I ordered the Spill That Spicy T Margarita made with their homemade pineapple, jalapeño mix. It was the perfect balance.. of heat, sweetness (I don't do sweet) perfect touch of smoke from the mezcal and finished with a tahini rim ... omg I can't stop thinking about it!!!! To start we ordered the fried pickles which were the perfect size and lightly breaded .. delicious .Now the main event .. the Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza. Let's talk about the crust which in our opinion will make or break a pizza. We love thin crust with a nice char , not burnt which is a fine line. We needed to be in that small 2 person kitchen at the end of the bar to see how on God's green earth they have perfected this pizza crust!! And who doesn't love cupped pepperonis? I personally feel these should be on every pepperoni pizza instead of those big greasy ones. I just can't say enough about how delicious this was!!!While talking to Phil my husband tells him how we heard about it and that we took the drive to check them out. Phil tells us we have to meet and tell the owners. We met Heather and Christina who were beyond thrilled and sweet to have us there. It's a small world bcs while talking with them we find out that during Covid they didn't want to be locked down in the cold and bought a place 30/40 minutes from us !! They opened the tavern about 2 years ago and just recently purchased the old pool hall next door. They showed us around and it was so cool with an old school vibe with some brown leather couches, pool table and a nice size bar that had just opened that day.If have read this far , THANK YOU! And when in Chicago please go check them out you will not be disappointed I promise!!I am sooo glad and sad that we found this place and believe everything happens for a reason. Glad bcs it was (no joke) the best pizza I have had in a long time and sad bcs I can't stop thinking about it now that I am back home in Tampa!! lolUntil next time“
“Absolutely love this spot! Have been going since the the lord of the rings pop up! I love how creative they get making a nostalgic feel for me. I will admit there has been a sense of apathy within the personnel working since I’ve been going… It’s become a “figure it out” vs let me help you with that mentality I wish the events had more pizazz! Sometimes I feel I’m drinking at a museum vs having something to interact with. I do love the Emo nights and the cocktails! So unique and definitely top tier in the bar scene!! I recommend this place but am weary since the “I don’t care” mentality. This place is absolutely amazing however and the top of my list! I can’t wait for the next pop up!“
“A really nice place to get some fun practice in. We were just walking by to see what it looked like and Devin gave us a free 30 minute voucher. We’ll be sure to stop back in the next time we’re in Chicago as while as check out your Cincinnati location!“
“Jay and his team are fantastic! This is absolutely one of the nicest bars in the neighborhood, and deserves recognition. We have had our company party here since they opened, and we have not changed venues as it is the best place to book your party!“
“I was looking for a place in Chicago to watch my Cincinnati Reds Opening Day. This place was a home run! The Manager was so welcoming. She had my game on two big screens when I arrived. I met the owner who thanked me for coming and chatted me up about the Reds. Tiara and Anita, were both super attentive and so welcoming. Great place and staff! I'll be back! Thanks guys! - Bill Carigan“
“I'm a frequent visitor to Chicago for work and my office is right across the street from this 5i location - always have a blast, and the staff is awesome. I played this morning with a few colleagues and we were treated extremely well - Justin was exceptionally great - easy to work with and accommodated our needs. Can't wait to be back!“
“Came here for the musical night. The ambience was nice. I like the blue fairy lights hanging down. A lot of Detroit Lions decor.Tables on both side and the 3 performers walked in the middle. The singers were better than I expected! They mainly stay in the inside of the restaurant but they also walked to the bar area where there were some more tables. One of them engaged with every table while she sang. The male singer could be a lot better if he didn’t leave the mic so close to his mouth. There were trivia games in between performances. So you were not listening to musical songs the whole time. The ticket ($65) includes one drink and one food item. The choices were pizza and chicken tenders. Food was okay. It’s a little pricey. Glad the singers were good though.Metered street parking outside.“
“I never believed my life will change in such a manner. I saw a review on Facebook about Mrs Craig Vanessa trading skills and before then I have never risk money doing anything online with anybody because I think I was so wise and never want to be cheated but when I contacted Mrs. Craig Vanessa, she explained everything to me concerning trading and the profit I can make within a week I was convinced to give a trial and risked to invest $1,000 and I made a withdrawal profit of $9,000 within a week. I am so happy that I trusted her and she didn't fail me. You can reach her through WhatsApp via her Facebook: Mrs Craig Vanessa“
“I just moved to Chicago and walked to Randall’s for a Christmas night cap and the 49ers game. WOW! This place is incredible. The bar is clean, cozy, welcoming and has a nice shuffleboard table (I wish more bars had them). Juan, one of the owners, was behind the bar pouring delicious cocktails and was great conversation. I can’t wait to make this my staple watering hole!“
“Been going to The Globe for almost 15 years. Always a great time, but today in particular for the big Arsenal vs. Liverpool match, the staff went above and beyond with a packed house. Service was excellent and patrons both new and old to the pub were very thankful for the wonderful staff and all they do. Felt like the old days :)“
“Couldn’t imagine a better spot for our private event a couple weeks ago. The staff were amazing, the location was great, and the food and drink were solid.Shout out to Austin for also giving us great recommendations on where else to eat and drink in Chicago! Can’t wait to be back at Sully‘s ?“
“Surprisingly good atmosphere! Went here for a first date and at least on tuesday it was a surprisingly romantic environment? Pretty low lighting and cool candle-y things on the tables, and quiet enough for a good conversation. Probably different vibe on a weekend. Solid beers on tap! And love the neon signs.“
“Paraphrasing off of a previous review because we feel like it described our experience perfectly. Welcoming owners, fantastic beer selection, dog friendly, plenty of tv’s, overall great local vibe. Definitely a local business worth supporting.“
“Hi guys, just wanna let you guys know the garage bar in sandwiches is a great spot to have food. The service was OK. Not the best but the food makes everything better. Unfortunately the drinks were trash. I shouldn’t say trash because that’s understatement. They are horrible they taste nothing but syrup don’t get drinks or specialty drinks here get anything on tap that was better, good luck“
“Cody's is a great time. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Although it can get very crowded on the weekends, if you can claim a spot by a dart board or the pool table, you won't want to leave. It's also worth mentioning that the back patio is a very chill vibe on summer nights. The only thing keeping me from giving Cody's 5 stars is that if you go earlier in the day, you will find adults who bring their children who will often times run around unattended. Cody's is also pet friendly which is awesome. However after having a few drinks, it becomes worrisome that you can easily step on some of the small dogs that are hard to spot. Overall, Cody's is great.“
“Solid sports bar with an Irish twist, they've got darts, skeeball, and a few other games. Food is surprisingly good and the drink menu is solid.Layout wise it feels like they've got two bars with the center wall cut out. Makes for a lot of space and great throughput on drink service.Well worth your time if you're looking for a sports pub.“
“The Auburn sign outside caught our attention, as my favorite cousin is a fan. We decided to give it a shot for lunch, and it was quite enjoyable. We opted to eat at the bar, and the design is very neat. The bar is covered in vintage pictures taken in the area. They have a fair amount of beers to choose from. The burger I had was tasty, and the seasoned fries were awesome. I'd come back for the fries alone! They have many TV screens that were playing a wide variety of sports. This would be a great place to catch a game. The inside is quite spacious. Located right off the Brown Line, the location is great for those relying on public transportation.“
“Excellent old school Ukrainian Village bar. No sign on the front which is already a good sign (no pun intended). Great drink prices and great bartender, Clayton. Had a Bell's Two-Hearted, bought a t-shirt and continued my bar crawl. Great first stop.“
“Please bring back the Ferris pop up! My husband and I were there on August 20th after the Cubs game. I returned with my sister on September 9 only to be disappointed that it was gone. Ferris was filmed at our high school and John Hughes the producer graduated with my sister. Thank goodness I took many photos when I went the first time. Bring it back!!“
“The Black Sheep Bar is an absolute hidden gem that exceeded all expectations. The 9-foot diamond pool table was a highlight of our visit, providing a unique and enjoyable gaming experience. Amy, the bartender, was not only incredibly sweet but also showcased an impressive knowledge of the extensive drink menu. Her recommendations were spot-on, making our evening all the more enjoyable. Meeting the owner, Silva, was a pleasant surprise, adding a personal touch to our experience. The Black Sheep Bar is a must-visit for those seeking a fantastic atmosphere, exceptional service, and a touch of authenticity.“
“We found this little tavern about half a block from our hotel room. Some of the people traveling with us had trouble with some of the other taverns and bars due to reservations. We later found out from the locals that it's best to stay away from the north side due to the service being a little different for visitors. Well, we definitely did not have any problems with service here. This local pub had a good crowd and there was only seating available at the bar. We were immediately served and made friends with a local as soon as we sat down. They definitely made us feel at home and the experience here compared to the north side was definitely different. It wasn't anything fancy, just good company and good drinks. We only stayed a while because we had to get up early in the morning but by the time we left that place was jam-packed and booming. We would definitely be back.“
“They have nostalgic arcade games. The pricing at the bar is inexpensive. Came for an outing with friends. Left with amazing memorable memories. The staff is super friendly, and attentive. Nice outing if you want to unwind, and be a kid again for the night.“
“This is our favorite bar in Chicago - and I'm not joking!! Great neighborhood feel, friendly and awesome bartenders, cheap drinks and always a good mix of people. We stop by all the time while running errands and sometimes when we're not even running errands!“
“We ate here with a large group (9 adults, 1 child). At first they told us it’d be a bit of a wait due to reservations but they sat us within five minutes. The hosts seemed kind of “in the weeds” and annoyed but it wasn’t that busy. Our server took a while to get to us but he was okay. The food portions are large. I recommend the nachos as an appetizer and the chicken wrap as an entree - it’s really big and I only finished half. My friend didn’t like the fish tacos as there was a lot of breading but burgers and hot dogs were okay. Nothing fancy.“
“The Newark Nook is one of the more famous speakeasy's on Chicago's Northwest side. While it is most famous for being Milton S. Hershey's preferred watering hole when he visited Chicago for the 1893 World's Fair, it was also the scene of several gangland shootings in the 1920's, and was built on the site of a civil war battle where famed wild Buffalo hunter, Col. Michael Gallen, was killed. Today the bar is mostly known for its extensive cocktail list and secret lounge area. The food is prepared by a former James Beard award winning chef but is a bit too fancy to my taste, but everything is very nice. The Colonel Gallen Buffalo Nachos are stellar and include a commemorative plate that can be taken home.“
“Stella's is the perfect divey Ukrainian Village gem. Great mix of typical beers/booze plus some polish staples, yum. Stella herself is the real reason to visit, she is the absolute best. There's games, boppin touch tunes, and pups are allowed! What more could you want in a bar?“
“The food here is amazing! You will not be disappointed. The menu is homemade from scratch and you can tell. I went with a friend and we shared the jalapeño appetizer which was super tasty and the machuquillo which I’d never had before but am now a big fan of- plantain patties with goat cheese and pork. I had the chicken kebabs which were perfectly cooked with a delicious marinade, full of flavorMy friend had the cochinita Pibil and loved it, so flavorfulWe had the pistachio tres leches cake for dessert- perfect end to the mealThe service was great and it’s got a fun atmosphereI only wish we could eat more, this place is a hidden gem!“
“Yak-Zies in Wrigleyville excels in creating an authentic Chicago sports bar atmosphere that appeals all crowds.showcasing sports games on multiple TVs and its sports-themed decor truly immerse patrons in the sportsThey offer a laid-back dining experience that perfectly complements the casual vibe of the neighborhood. The menu boasts a wide variety of bar classics, including delicious burgers, flavorful chicken wings, and satisfying loaded nachos. The portions are generous, making it a great value for the price. The staff at Yak-Zies is not only friendly but also attentive, ensuring that every visit is enjoyable. Whether you're dropping by for a quick meal or planning to stay longer, the service consistently meets expectations.“
“Great local spot for wings, pizza, beers, music & vibes. Staff it great. It does get pretty busy or packed some times so having patience is key if you are going in hangry. Overall a great selection if you want the neighborhood bar outing.“
“Flo & Santos is a great neighborhood bar. There is tons of space and tvs for game season. It'a definitely a great spot to watch the upcoming March Madness games. In the summer they open the patio and they allow pups on the patio. The pizza is thin crust and good. A nice variety of beer. And usually there is a beer special!“
“Whoever makes the chicken wings baby them are finger licking good ? 9/10 . Excellent entertainment as well first here was last year. I'm have stop by again to get great show and wingz baby!!! Nice lady I meet with blonde hair with glasses believe she's regular very sweet lady I felt welcome in her “
“We had dinner here during our visit to Chicago. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. The server made us feel right at home and was so helpful in giving recommendations. I had the steak salad and taco soup and my husband had the carnitas sandwich, all were phenomenal. We had such a good time that we decided to stay and move over to the bar after dinner. Highly recommend and we will be visiting again!“
“After driving home from a long day, I stopped by for a beer after work. I’ve never been there before and I was just frustrated from traffic. So I stepped inside for an hour. Music was great, sports on TV, drinks were affordable. I would definitely go back!!“
“I have lived by here for over 10 years and never realized this was a pizza place ? needless to say I've been missing out! I went during a super busy March Madness day and ordered to go because it was packed. The service was great I got my pizza fast. I didn't know it was thin crust but I didn't care it was so good. The side salad too was so good. I can't wait to eat here again, it was great. I took one bite and couldn't stop to take a pic, we inhaled it.Parking: You have to find street parking and read the signs, don't even think of parking at Walgreens they towKid-friendliness: Loud and definitely kid friendly sports environment“
“Lovely staff and their hyper awareness of the guests' needs make Standard a guaranteed stop for myself and my friends. The manager, Matt and owner Aaron, have dedicated countless hours and accepted customer input to make Standard the best sports bar on Milwaukee. I drink more than I eat when imbibing, but the food that I've had is very good. The staff, Megan, Jelena, Alex, and Vanessa are all exceedingly professional. Standard also has the Marquee Sports network, so I can watch my Cubs here once spring training ends, hopefully sooner then later. Cheers“
“I went to The Arrogant Frog last night for the first time and Ryan (the owner and bartender) was so welcoming, friendly, kind, helpful, and easy to talk to. I went on a first date (that was a huge success btw) and this was the perfect location. It was quiet, lots of room to sit and had great atmosphere/aesthetic, great drinks, great service, and great location! I will be coming back many times. Future Arrogant Frog regular right here!!“
“I've got a teen, so if course he loves coming here and playing the retro video arcade games for free, and I've always liked their burgers. But I recently had they're fried chicken there and BAM!, as they say. It was REALLY good! So I already had them at 5 stars, but they still went up in my book.“
“I love happy hour and it loves me back!!! I recently visited here to try their happy hour, which runs Monday through Friday, from 5 PM to 7 PM. It includes half off of their pizzas and $10 pitchers; there is also a beer and shot special for $8!My waitress, Sammie, was such a sweetheart and so helpful (ask for her)! She recommended that I try the Music City Melter and I LOVED IT. It had Nashville hot fried chicken, sweet and spicy pickles, white sauce, provolone, and mozzarella cheese, and buttermilk ranch drizzle. The Nashville fried chicken on top was good by itself! But coupled with the flavors of the pizza end it was definitely a winner! I totally understood why Sammie said she could eat one by herself! They have other pizza creations like The Notorious P.I.G., The De Niro, and Frito Pie and everyone knows the wings here never disappoint. AND there are now free games!!!I think you should go every day for happy hour and try a different pizza...... JUST SAYING!!!! Enjoy!“
“Had a great time here on a Tuesday night for a late dinner and a couple beers. Got in right as the kitchen was closing and the staff was super nice and let me order anyway. Outdoor patio is super sick with TVs everywhere. Covered with heaters as well. Great vibe. Was looking for a place to watch the Zags v Saint Mary's game late night so it was perfect (go zags). Had a great time chatting with Josh the GM as well. We talked hoops and football for like 30 minutes, he's a great guy. Made sure I was taken care of the whole time I was there Alright- the food Smoked Turkey Sandwich - 5/5 I kinda just wanted something simple with a good amount of protein since I was coming from the gym. This thing exceeded all expectations -see pictures. Very flavorful and generous amounts of all ingredients on the sandwich. It's on this like tomato focaccia type bread as well that is to die for. Was told afterwards by Josh that this is his favorite item on the menu so highly recommended! Mac n Cheese - 3/5 Nothing to write home about really here. Since I just moved to chicago I'll try to keep it local with the sports analogies but kind of like a Nikola Vucevic of Mac n cheeses. You're kinda forget you have it but it certainly does the job. Overall dope spot that's super close to my place. Gonna have to come back for trivia and brunch to see what that's all about!“
“The bar tender was a gem. Accidentally walked in to see what they had available and ended up spending a couple hours enjoying the bartenders conversation and got one of the best old fashioned I'd ever had. Thanks for making Chicago exploration fun. Hope to get to your brother's bar downtown.“
“Good basic neighborhood bar. Friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable woodsy atmosphere. Food okay but nothing to write home about. Beer selection notably lacking Wisconsin entries, which is odd in a Wisconsin-themed place that markets itself as a place for Badgers to gather.“
“I have nothing bad to say about this place. The atmosphere is awesome. I love their bar! I recommend their Irish whiskey coffee cocktail. Is my to go when I arrive. Their pool tables are excellent as well. Check out Siboney restaurant on site too for delicious appetizers and Cuban sandwiches“
“Great place before or after a cubs game! Also a great bar to go to in Wrigleyville outside of baseball season. Staff is always wonderful. Drinks are great. Murphy’s has so much history behind it and the inside is beautiful. Bouncers are as nice as they can be for a bouncer haha. Always a great time at murphy’s!“
“My favorite dive in Chicago. I come every week and hang out with my favorite bartenders Joey and Karen. At this point they feel like family. Aside from the great prices, atmosphere, and surprisingly good dirty martinis- I come because the staff make me feel at home. I freaking love this place.“
“Best soccer pub in the Midwest, maybe the country. Can’t beat the world-wide coverage, the beer and drinks menu, the food quality, and the great service. No one has this combination. That’s why Hudson’s is the official home pub of the Chicago Hammers. They know and care for the game and its supporters, and not just the so-called big six.“
“I love this American restaurant, the food is delicious, satisfying and enjoyable. I especially love the burgers and fries, they are freshly made and very authentic. In addition, the environment here is also very comfortable and spacious, which makes people feel very relaxed and happy. The waiters are also very friendly and welcoming, they always greet guests with a smile and provide many useful tips and recommendations. All in all, this is a very good American restaurant and I will come here often to enjoy the food and time.“
