Edelweiss is a pure gem and is THE best bar in Chicago. Laid back, friendly and a timeless classic former shift bar that now hosts a good mix of lively people. I’ve met one of my best friends in the city at this bar, spent birthdays, happy and sad moments here and the staff is just phenomenal. With great vibes and open late (until 3am on Saturdays), it's a beautiful hidden gem perfect for those waiting for a table nearby. There’s no food, but drinks, billiards, and good company make it a great place to enjoy. Some note it’s hard to get water, though they now offer water bottles. Despite one rude bartender, the staff is mostly sweet and inviting, making regulars feel like friends.
