“The Kansas/WVU game was playing when we walked in, as were a few others. My spicy bloody Mary had a little bite, but wasn't too spicy. Waiting on another friend, we had an order of the sourdough toast as an appetizer, and it was delicious. The two bartenders/servers were hilarious, attentive and on top of a lot going on. The steak and eggs: delish. The breakfast sandwich with impossible sausage: delish. Chilaquilles: ok, but not exactly how we're used to/a little too different. We'll be back?
Vegetarian options: You can pretty much sub an Impossible Burger for anything“

“We needed a place to stay close to the Concord music hall, and found the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern. Every element of our stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The menu at the inn was a purposefully short, curated list of bar food, and everything we tried was incredible. The tavern had a great neighborhood feel, and the room we stayed in was well-appointed, and just right for my wife and me. We met the owners within a few moments of arriving, and immediately felt welcomed. I highly recommend the Leavitt St. Inn and Tavern to anyone looking for a hidden gem of a place to stay while visiting Chicago. We can't wait until we travel north again, because we know where we are staying! 5 stars! A++++“

“We went to the new location on Belmont this last weekend & are so thrilled with our experience. From the service to the drinks and the food, everything was delicious. I ordered the steak sandwich & thought it was fantastic (I like mine cheesy & saucy). My husband ordered the "Da Bears" burger & ate the whole thing. We started with the cheese curds that the table cleared within minutes. Our server was wonderful as well, she was attentive & we never had an empty glass. If you like trying all kinds of martini's, we really enjoyed the "pickletini". Cannot wait to go again & enjoy their patio & try a bloody mary :)“

“Such an amazing spot! A great addition to the neighborhood! The service is amazing, everyone who works here is so friendly, kind and attentive. The food is great (the santi spring rolls is a hit on the salty side however). This spot is not just great as a local spot, but also worth a trip. The outdoor patio area is so nice and has music and indoors, there’s a really charming atmosphere with a fireplace. Love it!“

“I love the staff here. They're so so friendly. The music is great, oh and of course, great food haha. It's definitely one of the smaller Kuma's Corners, but it's cozy. Albeit maybe clusterphobic for some. Keep in mind these burgers are BIG. I had to basically deconstruct the burger with a fork and knife, until I got to a comfortable portion.
Oh. And the burger didn't come with a bite, I just took one then remembered to take a picture.
Fun fact that I realized after visiting a second time, is that their bathrooms are genderless. I love this place.
Vegetarian options: Although I haven't had the vegetarian options. I know for a fact that the Impossible Burger is a very solid meat alternative. And in some instances I would take it over the meat option.“

“D-4 Cafe was amazing! I was visiting from San Francisco and knew this was my chance to eat some authentic Bosnian food. My Bosnian partner looked up a couple of places and I'm so glad we found this one.The cevapi was perfectly spiced on the soft warm pita. That was the best Bosnian coffee I've had too! The Burek was so fresh, it took about 20-30 to make but was so worth it.It's a quiet, humble restaurant with a mom n pop duo making the food! As their son told me and thanked me for coming, the food is made with love. Thanks for having us!!“

“Great location. Inside is a charming Irish style pub, outside is a great backyard, full of tables and even a fireplace. Service was a little hit or miss. Food was mostly pub fare. We had corned beef sandwiches, veg gnocchi, green salad. The corned beef was a hit, the other stuff not as much. Beer and drinks of course were good. Good place to meet friends, have a pint and even listen to some Irish tunes.“

“A great tucked away spot with amazing service. And the most welcoming and friendly owner— ask him about the history of the spot. Too cool. Great introduction to Balkan food. Get the cevapi, prepared Montenegrin which I haven’t seen. Also amazing beer.“

“It was really cool liked the vibe the bartender with blondish hair was super cool great service food was really good too the reason I gave four stars is because our original bartender took at least 20 minutes to approach us and just service with her was not the best definitely more worried about being drunk than her job ?“

“A dive bar? With Bourbon County on tap? Rabbits could be Moe's tavern right out of the Simpsons, but don't let that fool you. No Duff's here, but there is always a better than average and sometimes exceptional tap lineup for beer geeks. But don't let the secret out that you can get the full BCBS experience here in the fall without the crowd.“

“This local gem is a fantastic spot for those seeking an authentic neighborhood bar experience! They offer an impressive selection of reasonably priced drinks and a diverse menu that's sure to satisfy. The spacious interior provides ample seating near the bar, while the additional backroom and charming patio (perfect for summer evenings) ensure there's always a comfortable spot to relax. For entertainment, there's a pool table available for those interested.
One of the standout features is the consistently excellent service - the staff really goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. While I've primarily sampled their unique take on sweet potato fries, which come as hearty chunks rather than traditional fries, I'm excited to explore more of their menu. The daily specials are particularly intriguing, and I'm looking forward to my next visit to try them out!“

“I’ve come here twice. Both times were a good vibe but the parking lot is small. The step in there next to the bar is kind of dangerous after a few drinks. And it could go for some improved bathrooms. I hope that people come in patron this place so they can do some much desired upgrades.Prices are great. I did not try the food. If you’re looking for a good time with an older crowd and games being played welcome.“

“What can I say about SandTrap! They have daily specials, they’re kid friendly, The bartenders create tasty drinks, their Thursday night Karaoke Rocks, and their menu is priced for anyone’s pocket. If they have special events, it’s always nicely decorated and you control your own music! Try the shotski for 4 drinkers!! If it’s too low key for your party, ask the bartender to spice it up…pump up the volume! You will have a great time!! Go check them out!!! They are accommodating to their customers!“

“I heard good things about the food but I couldn't try it because it's 35 and up. Wish they had a take out option or sum. Lowkey mad ASL cuz they kicked my ass out. My fat ass just wanted to eat. I give em stars cuz the security was polite.“

“Traveling from Louisiana, and my friend and I stopped here for lunch. Absolutely amazing service, everyone was so friendly and welcoming. The atmosphere was very quaint and niche. You can tell they have their regulars, but everyone was still so inviting. The food was PHENOMENAL. Also loved how clean everything was. I'd absolutely recommend this place to anyone. I'll absolutely come back if I make another trip out to Chicago.“

“Solid whiskey happy hour on Friday and Sunday featuring the Buffalo Trace rare breeds. I’ve had two meals here and both were just ok. Their dressings are super watery and it just puts a damper on the whole meal. It is a great place to stop for a drink or two and definitely a step above your typical dive bar. The patio is dog friendly so that’s neat.“

“We go to Mac’s all the time. It is one of our go-to spots for nights that we want a quick bite and beer.
The food is always delicious. They offer a variety of pub-style foods and they all hit the spot. The service is always exceptional, especially when they’re not super busy. Staff is extremely attentive and friendly! Even when busy, the staff are very good at making sure guests are happy throughout the bar! They have a solid selection of beers on tap. When you put in a drink order, you can expect it’ll be in your hand in no time. Finally, as a sports fan, I love the number of TVs they have across the bar. You’ll always be able to find a view. Staff are very accommodating when it comes to switching TVs when a sport is starting. And for bigger events, every tv is tuned in and the whole bar is watching!
Definitely a must-stop for anyone who loves sports bars and pub-style foods. We will always find time to stop in for a quick bite at our favorite, neighborhood bar!“

“Poor Phil's is a classic neighborhood bar. It has a warm and inviting feel to it. For the most part, it is devoid of alcoholics, barflys and weirdos, and for a bar in today's world that is impressive. The food at Poor Phil's is very good and the happy hour is outstanding! If you like seafood at a pub, go to Poor Phil's and grab a meal with a beer.“

“Love this place - cozy neighborhood sports bar atmosphere with truly excellent food, a great rotating beer menu, and very reasonable prices. There are often games or music on, but never so loud that you can't have a conversation. All of the food we've tried has been delicious! Never once had a bad dish or experience! We stopped in on a whim for lunch and quickly became regulars after tasting the burgers, rustic potato salad, and brussel sprouts. There are different daily food specials and a surprising list of high-end options (e.g. Wagyu beef burgers, lamb dip, Mediterranean mushroom sandwich) for such a casual setting. The staff is great, the chef is on point, the beers are frosty, and the meatloaf dinner on Thursday is worth a special visit. If you're looking for a relaxed place to have a great meal, a cold drink, and a conversation, I can't recommend the Old School Tavern enough.
Kid-friendliness: Seen many families there with babies and kids
Wheelchair accessibility: There are regular customers who are wheelchair users, there is a back entrance with easy access and the staff is very helpful“
