Stopped by while we were out on the boat today. We were so excited to come back after trying it last year. The lobster is SO fresh and delicious, and the best part is it’s family owned and they are promoting another local small business. The owner is so accommodating and friendly. We’ll be back! 🦞

I absolutely loved that this was on the lake and there were tables to enjoy eating at. The service was superb - very friendly people, got our food quickly and it was hot, fresh and absolutely delicious. Fries were fresh and fry sauce was tasty, the lobster was fresh and had a great texture!
My two pieces of advice or suggestions would be: for the corn to drain it better, mine had a lot of standing liquid and season the corn it was rather plain after getting through the toppings. I didn't mix it because of all the liquid. And the second piece of advice would be to offer two sizes of lobster rolls and offer more butter on the side - I felt the roll was rather small and it needed a bit more butter on the side.
Wish I could have tried the Mac and Cheese!
Otherwise, I would return and recommend! Great job guys.

The one I devoured at King of Lobster Chicago in Fox Lake Illinois redefined the genre, leaving me speechless and reaching for the nearest napkin to mop up the drool threatening to cascade down my chin. The first bite was a revelation. The bun, toasted to a golden brown perfection, crackled like a crisp autumn leaf under the weight of the overflowing, impossibly generous portion of lobster meat. Each succulent morsel was ludicrously fresh, bursting with the sweet, briny essence of the Maine coast. This wasn't just a lobster roll, it was an experience. It was a symphony of textures and flavors, a love letter to the bounty of the sea. It was, quite simply, the best lobster roll I've ever encountered, and I doubt anything will ever top it. If you find yourself anywhere near Fix Lake Illinois, do not, under any circumstances, miss this culinary masterpiece. It's worth the wait, the hype, and every single drool-inducing penny. Just make sure you bring your appetite – and a napkin or two.

I traveled to King of Lobster because I saw on Facebook that they are family owned. I love to support local businesses!
First off the location is beautiful! They have very nice tables to sit at while you eat. While eating you can watch the boats pass on the water!
I decided to try an Illinois Lobster Roll with Mac and Cheese! It was out of this world! The lobster was not dry or fishy. The bun was perfectly toasted! The Mac and Cheese was so creamy!
They also have hot dogs and burgers for those who don’t like seafood!
This place is definitely a hidden gem in the Fox Lake area!

10/10 lobster rolls. Buns toasted to perfection and lobster is succulent and delicious 🤤
Had to get in before they closed for the season…sad we are just trying them now. 10/10 service, food, atmosphere. The bread was amazing, lobster was better than I’ve had in Maine, staff were supper friendly. On top of it all, I love seeing a group work hard to achieve their goals. Can’t wait until next season!
