“Amazing! I'm not from this area and didn't want fast food. Accidentally found this place and MAN am I glad I did! Very nice people who work there. She immediately told me about their soups of the day. Had the Spotted Cow Cheddar Beer soup with their homemade pretzel croutons. OMG the best! Also had the Turkey Swiss Mushroom Panini, fantastic and so fresh. Will definitely be back if I'm out here ??”

“We love coming here. Foods pretty good and wallet friendly compared to other places in the area it's always 30 dollars less. 10 dollars for a Reuben, with fries and soup. Can't find that anymore.”

“We enjoyed one of the many specials of the day. Pot roast sandwich on grilled sour dough bread with Swiss cheese and grilled onions. Cup of soup sweet potato fries delicious. First time in awhile we were back can't comment on other dishes, menu has changed.”

“Beyond AWESOME!!!! I just found this place online and the reviews looked good so we thought we would try it. The menu is very appetizing. We ordered delivery and it was fast, the food was hot and the delivery guy was great. The food was SO fresh! The pizza was delicious, sausage is home made and it has great crispy crust ! We also ordered the Fettuccini Alfredo with sausage and shrimp and it was out of this world. The portions are big. We can’t wait to go there and dine in. You will not be disappointed!!”

“We always have great service here. The food is pretty good also. It is nice to pop in for lunch or dinner and be able to sit at a table with the kids.The wings are really awesome. The burgers are good too and everything is decently priced.The bathrooms are always clean also which is a nice perk!”

“We absolutely love Carlos's. The food is always delicious and is ready pretty quickly. They are our go-to for tacos. They are fairly priced and the service is always good.”

“Mr. Submarine is so much better than some of the other competitors out there. Specifically that one team with the green and yellow colors. Their bread is second best to my favorite red and black team, and the service is a little more helpful. I have heard that other locations can vary in quality, but when my local Polish deli has closed, I come here for a decent sandwich. The employees are always patient with you and make sure you're comfortable with your decision on toppings before they actually place them on your sandwich. I definitely feel like their vegetables are fresh, and the meat is tasty, but not top quality. Again, I am comparing a chain to Euro-style sandwiches. I'm not expecting top tier, but I am definitely happy with the sandwich I get, which is always the Mr. Sub. This location is hidden in a Mobil gas station, which I would have never found had I not searched for places to eat in Fox Lake. I barely know the area, having moved here from Chicago. Definitely check them out. What's also cool is that if there are other incidentals that you need from the gas station shop, it's there for you to purchase along with your sandwich. Love it!”

“Stopped in twice while waiting for our food order from Dominos next door. First time, all the machines were full and there was a wait. Second time was carded even though I am in my 50s. Never had that happen before and was kind of a nuisance. Place had a nice vintage vibe. I won five bucks! Didn't need any food or drink at this visit.”
