“Szechwan Palace is a charming small Chinese restaurant in Antioch. Currently, the atmosphere is a bit disrupted due to ongoing construction, but it still retains a cozy and inviting feel.

Food: I have visited Szechwan Palace numerous times and always enjoy the food. The drunken noodles and egg rolls are my favorites. On my last visit, I tried the Kung Pao beef, which was quite good but could use a bit more wok flavor. The soup, while tasty, could benefit from a bit more spice and the addition of shiitake or Chinese mushrooms, a touch more sourness, ginger, a hint of sugar, and some rice vinegar to enhance its flavor.

Service: The service at Szechwan Palace is consistently very good. The staff are polite and attentive, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.

Overall: Despite the current construction, Szechwan Palace remains a delightful spot for authentic Szechuan cuisine in Antioch. I look forward to returning and seeing the progress on the renovations and AUTHENTIC ASIAN FOOD !!!!!“

“My order was made to my taste and it was exactly and positively perfect. The lady taking my order was very pleasant and didn't mind my changes at all. After eating I called Panda to thank them again. My meal was cooked to perfection and enough to feed 3 people. What's my order??? If Sweet & Sour Chicken and Sesame Chicken had a baby. That would be my order. Can't wait to have again“

“This was my first time here and the food was really good. The portions are decent for the price. I had the shrimp egg food young and my wife had the house chop suey. We also got an order of egg rolls and chicken low mein.

Parking: The entrance is not wheel chair friendly but there is wheel chair parking.“

“This place is great! Tried it after being disappointed with the McHenry area Chinese food restaurants. It was worth the drive.
I had crab rangoon, pork egg rolls, chicken mei fun, chicken lo mein, and mixed veggies. The pork rolls were delicious and fresh, crab rangoon was crispy and flavorful. Everything was just really tasty and fresh. My favorite was the chicken lo mein.

“Just ordered from there, half food was cold, most tasted steamed to no flavor beef in chop seuy and fried rice was not chewable, messed up the order and over charged me, I got 10 pounds of food that I threw out, never again“

“I didn’t take photos :(Went in here today for the first time. Ordered vegetable egg rolls, combo spicy fried rice, and shrimp chop suey. Egg rolls were yummy. The chop suey was fireeeeeeeee I loved it! Great flavor and good amount of shrimp and veggies. The reason for my 4 stars is the fried rice. Good flavor but oily. I didn’t like the oil feel on my lips. Besides that everything else was great. Service was great, they were friendly and waiting time for my food wasn’t long. Recommend!“

“The restaurant is pick up only and the front is run down and even a bit dingy in appearance but the prices are great and the food is REALLY good! When we moved to McHenry 10 years ago we had trouble finding Chinese food we liked. Finally friends suggested checking out China House.“

Lukewarm at best. 2. I skipped several dishes because I had no idea what they were. Signage very poor. The staff was very friendly and I will definately try it again. “Food is very good.. I am rarely disappointed. I recommend the vegetable fried rice, shrimp fried rice, sesame seed chicken and sweet n sour chicken.. also the general tos/govenor's chicken is excellent if you like alittle more heat! I did notice they have a sign in the window looking to hire someone who can answer the phone and take orders!!“
