This is great food and friendly service. They have now recently merged with a sushi bar, the menu looks amazing although I’ve stuck to golden dragon with a much more reasonable prices. Calming atmosphere, and pretty much the best Chinese food in this area from what I’ve had. You’ll definitely find something to love.
Delicious food, friendly service.
This restaurant uses well water or unfiltered water to make all their dishes that require the use of water. I’ve tried several things from here and I’ve noticed that everything from the rice and the noodle dishes all taste like the water is coming from either an untreated well water or an unpurified water source. If you’re like me and you can tell and you’re picky, I don’t recommend.

Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant offers a mix of experiences according to recent customers. While one reviewer found their chicken and beef dishes to be heavy on vegetables and light on meat, another customer praised the freshness and generous portions of their Beef Lo Mein and Dragon Lo Mein. The restaurant's old-school ambiance is a hit with some diners, who appreciate the reasonable prices and ample portions. The staff, especially the hostess Mei and server Andy, are highlighted for their exceptional service. The Egg Foo Young and Princess Chicken come highly recommended, along with the sampler appetizer platter. With a nod to their retro dining room, Golden Dragon Chinese Restaurant in Fox Lake, IL, promises a pleasant dining experience with delicious food and friendly service.
