“We had the large Kung Pao chicken, crab ragoon and the large teriyaki chicken. They were all fantastic. We will definitely go back.
The Kung Pao chicken was spicy but not overbearing.
The teriyaki chicken was so tender and had a wonderful flavor.
The crab ragoons were huge and tasted great.
Huge portions. I may order the small next time.“

“Food is pretty decent. Price has gone up since we were there last. But what happened to getting a side of steamed white rice with entrees? I ordered a small sweet & sour chicken and small Mongolian beef; thinking both would come with a small steamed white rice.“

“Ever since we discovered Mr Wok, we look forward to Thursdays. Thursdays is when Mr Wok is on our route. We get lunch specials, entree is loaded and comes with fried rice and a egg roll.
The flavor is amazing
You can ask for it spicy if you’ll like
The ingredients are so fresh and of very good quality
The shrimps are big, the beef is soft and tender. When I get chicken they make it with a really good lemony flavor

“After ordering from all six Chinese restaurants that are in South Elgin or bordering on Elgin, I can confidently say this restaurant has the best Chinese food in the area.

The food quality and flavor is not only on par or better than all of the others, but the pricing is the most fair as well.

With respect towards the other Chinese restaurants, I don't see why I would order Chinese food from anyone else while this establishment is around.“

“I was there today for lunch and asked if they could leave the fried rice off because I could not eat rice. I realized later that she must have misunderstood me as she got very offended and said "if you don't like it - go someplace else." I exchanged a few words with her as I thought her comment to go someplace else just because I asked for no fried rice on my Plate (I cannot eat rice anymore) was very rude. We fininished our lunch which was delicious and went on our way. I have frequented this restaurant several times and have never made a special request so YUM YUM lady was always nice. If she reads this I would like to APOLOGIZE to her as I think her fried rice is delicious. I just am unable to eat rice at this point. A misunderstanding that could have been avoided.“

“This place has some of the best Chinese food I have found near Hanover park/streamwood/Bartlett. Mongolian Beef is more traditional (spicy and not sweet, packed with beef, white and green onions and includes the crunchy white noodles). The fried rice with shrimp came with good size shrimp. The crab Rangoon is also packed with filling and you can tell they change their oil frequently. We also enjoyed their beef lo mein and sesame chicken. Their food is not salty, but if you like that add a little salt yourself to bring out a tad more flavor. Don’t plan on dining in, it’s not the greatest atmosphere. It is clean but clearly meant for carry out first.“

We landed on the chicken or steak or shrimp with mixed vegetables and Curry Chicken as our favorites. Our out of town friends always ask us to get dinner from here as well. Their pricing offers really good value as well.\n\nAlso, the Chicken Chop Suey and Cashew Chicken are also very good as well. “Tried this place with my husband and we are both very pleased. He loved the hibachi and even the hibachi worker was amazing. The food was good and warm, everything seemed so fresh and stocked up. i went on a sunday evening and i expected it to be packed but there was plenty of room for us. my only complaint was really just the mac n cheese being too dry but it was still delicious. i would definitely eat here again“

“I’m always seeking out new to me places and I’ve heard of this spot from other friends for many years and just recently had the chance to visit. I wish I would’ve visited sooner!

This spot is not much for ambience inside or outside but on the day of my visit they had brisk takeout and the dining room was packed…real quick. I’m sure a lot of folks go here for the Chinese menu items but I was there for the Lao goodies! They did not disappoint!

We had the fried meat balls; a mixed app plate with chicken wings, Lao sausage, and beef jerky; lap beef; and a healthy serving of sticky rice (ok maybe we had 2 to sop up the lap beef).

Flavors were on point. Medium spice had us excited and rolling at the same time as it got spicier throughout the meal for the lap…but it was so good! I can’t wait to go back and try more!

Service was friendly and attentive. Parking was easy since they have their own lot.“
