“The broasted chicken is delicious and the service is excellent. Our server and bartender was Sue, shes the best. I highly recommend having the homemade chips and broccoli cheddar, if it's the soup of the day. We look forward to coming back.“

“Had the opportunty to stop in at the hidden Max-Boyd-s Hideout in Antioch recently, interesting place, decor and experience.
Located in Antioch, but off the beaten path, literally. a few blocks off of Grass Lake Road is the Hideout, not far away from any of the Chain of Lakes.
Weathered and worn, like a old leather jacket, if you are looking for an old school tavern style place, you should stop in.
Bring cash only, or use their ATM, indulge in their beer or drink selection while seated at the bar, table or play a Slot machine.
I enjoyed the grilled chicken sandwich-fries or chips, which was delicious and flavorful.
I see they have ribs, burgers, fish frys and prime rib selections as well available.
The prohibition, Al Capone theme is a nice touch as well. Test your sense of adventure and stop in.“

“We love Doyle’s! Family owned business. Atmosphere is great! Food is wonderful…….smash burger, cb&c, Reuben’s, Friday fish, pot roast……. It’s all good! And they know how to pour a Guinness, complete with the shamrock!“

“We hosted an end of the season tackle football banquet for 50 people in the party room at JJ Twig’s in Wauconda tonight. Tiffany was a dream to work with — super responsive, accommodating, and had great insight into just how much food to order. The party room was the perfect private venue that allowed our rambunctious group of 10 year old boys some space to roam without disturbing other diners. Food was good — we ordered pizzas, baked mostaccioli, meatballs, chicken tenders and salad. Compared to other local venues we considered, JJ Twig’s is a real value. Along with the good food and great service, JJ Twig’s is the full package!“

“Stumbled onto this place on a Friday night just looking to stop and have a drink and a bite of food with a friend. The place is clean and cute inside and out and the staff were very friendly as well as the patrons. We ate at the bar but there are regular dining tables if you don’t like high barstools (which I don’t). The broasted chicken and potatoes are outstanding! Everything that came out of the kitchen looked and smelled absolutely delicious. Very cool neighborhood bar & grill. Will definitely be back.“
