This place used to be amazing. Seems like there are different owners now. Their steak/ asada seems like it’s ground turkey, couldn’t even call it ground beef. I hardly ever leave a bad review. Food was not good. We didn’t eat it besides the rice and beans. It was a waste

I think this place is under new management as the menu is different. We ordered the steak burrito and veggie burrito. Wow, they were amazing! Lots of meat and the veggie burrito is THE best veggie burrito I have ever had!

You know sometimes you find a gem by accident. I was walking around downtown Fox Lake waiting for a car repair. I wandered into a clean unassuming Mexican restaurant and got their full attention. I was treated like a king. Large portions of fresh quality food at low prices. It doesn't get much better than this. Customers should be standing in line to get in. Fully five stars.

So a couple weeks ago I my wife and I ended up going to this Mexican restaurant and to pick up in an employee. She's recommended this place and said that we should try it. So we did. However, I ended up taking my daughter instead of my wife. It's a 4th of July and we were home and we wanted something to do so we went to this restaurant and let me tell you it is very very very good. I had a torta that had carne asada cheese. A little bit of sour cream avocados instead of guacamole and beans and the way they made the tortas was so good and they don't put excessive amount on the ingredients. They portioned it very very well and I loved it. When I usually go to a Mexican restaurant and I order a torta, mine is usually a little bit of sloppy and not so tasteful. Only because you can taste the beans and then the guacamole with the sour cream barely any meat. But here at this restaurant I tasted more meat than I did with the ingredients and it was so neatly put together and it wasn't so sloppy. I don't know what kind of cheese they put on there but it was really good. Very good the way they made it. You should try it. Get yourself a torta and ordered it with cheese and carne asada. My daughter however had a burrito with chicken and veggies on it. It was also good. She said that she would go there again if we ever do get the chance to. The tortilla chips were hot and fresh as well and the salsa let me tell you I could eat that straight with no chips or nothing. That's how good it was. My son and I had lunch there. He got the steak taco dinner and I had the the chicken enchilada dinner. Both were delicious and the steak was not fatty at all. I will definitely be returning!

The food was delicious the husband and wife were very polite. I went for the Lengua that they did not have, I settled for the pastor torta and 2 pastor tacos. I was blown away by the homemade salsa they had there. The red salsa is great and the green salsa is similar to a guacamole salsa, also very delicious. The rice and beans were also very good and filling. 10/10 for politeness, food and price will definitely be visiting again if I’m in the area

Amazing. The food is authentic; the meat not laced with a stupid amount of gristle. The spices are insanely good - you can TASTE the marinade they take the time to do.My friends and I ate there and it's pretty clear they do not have many dine-in customers. But we were tended to perfectly.An aside, a person in an electric wheel chair showed up and asked for a burrito in exchange for her name and phone number and a promise to pay. They didn't hesitate. My group and people from the kitchen came out offering to lift them into the restaurant . They declined but the kitchen made her her burrito.Perfect food. Perfect addition to a productive and caring society. They don't seem to get many dine-in customers but the experience was fantastic.I cannot recommend this place enough. A+, 10/10. Delicious food, sympathetic workers.
