McDonald's is absolutely terrible now. Especially the Fox Lake, Illinois store. They can't take an order correctly, the food is cold, they forget items in the bag. I initially gave them the benefit of the doubt, but it has happened 3 times now. The accents are so strong, you can't understand what they are saying. I WILL NOT go back. Absolutely awful!!

Im not going into great detail. All you need to know is we had to come back to this place TWICE to get our correct order. And they still didn't get it correct. There is probably a McDonalds 5 miles down the road in any direction. Do not go to this one, trust me.

Absolutely terrible experience at the McDonald’s in Fox Lake, IL (1390 S US-12, Fox Lake, IL 60020). I went through the drive-thru, paid for my order online , receive my drinks and they told me to pull forward and park because my food “would be right out.” I sat there for over 30 minutes. Nobody ever came out. Cars that ordered after me were getting their food and leaving while I just sat there like an idiot. Finally I went inside to ask what was going on. The employees barely acknowledged me, kept working on other orders, and when I asked about my food one of them rolled their eyes and muttered something. Then two employees started talking to each other in Spanish right in front of me, laughing, while completely ignoring that I was standing there waiting for help. It felt 100% intentional and incredibly rude.This location has the worst customer service I’ve ever seen at a McDonald’s. Management clearly doesn’t care. Save yourself the headache and go literally anywhere else in Fox Lake. Never coming back.

If I could give this McDonald’s zero stars I would I had three simple meals. They sat me for half an hour then I walked inside and they acted like they forgot about me, but the staff was laughing like it was some type of joke. Then I asked for the receipt which I didn’t get and I had to wait another five minutes for a piece of paper the most unprofessional group of employees I’ve ever seen from the manager all the way down if you live in the area, I’d recommend going anywhere but here.

We order two Big Mac meals and did not receive monopoly game price on our meals. We don’t know if employees are stealing them and giving us old boxes and cups.
