When this place first re-opened as a bbq restaurant It had ok brisket and high but reasonable prices for a bbq place. However now the prices are MUCH HIGHER THAN OTHER BBQ PLACES WITH FAR SMALLER PORTIONS. The last 2 times I tried their brisket it was shockingly fatty and had nearly no actual meat.Won't be back...

Was definitely not a hit, this was our first time going here to studio hotrods smokehouse. First issue was the fact that they were not busy at all maybe 3 or 4 tables and we had to wait for a table to be cleaned off, and it didn’t look like anyone was going to attempt to do it until we finally asked them to sit.The food i ordered came and was a very small portion definitely not even close to a half of pound of meat. And the meat I actually wanted which was pulled pork they were out of stock.The waitresses was pretty bad as well, sure she was a nice lady but just not cut out for a server, all of our drinks sat empty the entire night and we never got the waters we asked for or the refill that we requested. It’s not like we are asking for much just normal basic things you would get at a restaurant.$70 for 3 people to eat almost nothing, we all left there hungry and feeling like we just wasted our money.Also if your gonna say that a meal comes with a side of coleslaw, fist give us some actual coleslaw not just dry cabbage and 2nd give us a side of it not a pinch of it in a small cup the size of the Dixie cup I would use while brushing my teeth

That billboard is a pretty bold claim. So I tried twice. Well put it this way. If this place was in Texas it would be already out of business. The bbq is absolutely horrible. What's crazy the pervious restaurant that was overpriced had better food than this dumpster. I'm expecting another name change soon. That billboard should change its phrase to best bbq joint in fox lake until something better comes along. Save your money and stay away.Parking: If this place actually had good food they'd need more parking.. since its trash they got room.

Pleasantly surprised! I’ve drove by this place for years and always thought it as mainly a bar. While they do have festive holiday drinks each season, they also have a great menu of smoked meats and yummy sides to go with! Their mac and cheese is by far my favorite compared to any other restaurant I’ve been to! And their unique holiday drinks were so fun and creative it was hard to choose which one to get!

I ordered brisket ends with sauce on the side, it came smothered in sauce. I said this isn't how I ordered it and ordered 2 sides. I never got my 2 sides or my meat order replaced !after an hour I said just get me my bill. I'm going next door to taco bell cause I'm staving! Before you chanced to smoke house the food was great! Now I won't be back and $19.50 for a turkey club that looked and tasted like ham yuck ! oh and $12.00 for Irish coffe your not in Chicago

Ok..I was so excited! I just bought a house here. I ordered through Doordash and my BBQ Pork sandwich and Banana Pudding was delivered. My meal made it so fast and I was so hungry. I opened my containers and found the sandwich, coleslaw, pickles, and red onions. Looks Great. Except...the sauce I requested was not in the package. The pork tasted great, but I wouldn't call it a generous portion. (15.00) Next, the Banana Pudding...my favorite. Not today! It's lame vanilla Pudding with a couple of smashed Nilla wafers in it. No whip cream...(it was in the description) Honestly, it was yucky. I don't have another descriptive word for it. I only had 2 bites and threw it away. It was disappointing. I don't think I'm ever going back there again.

Even though the server told us we would have about an hour wait for our food we decided to wait it out and have a few drinks.Once the food came it was not that great.The brisket was ok. Not that much meat for the cost. The best part was the chips.For us it was not worth the drive from Wisconsin.The guitars and rock memorabilia they have is pretty cool.
The BBQ wasn't the best I've ever had but it was really good. Brisket was smoky and the rib tips had a nice flavor. Cole slaw was diced really small. The baked beans were very good. Macaroni & Cheese was not your typical southern-style but tasty and cheesy nonetheless. Didn't care much for the banana pudding they serve with each platter. The atmosphere is cool and they have live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Also, Bible verses can be seen throughout the place, which I think is awesome! Definitely give them a try. You just might walk out a believer!

We drove from the south side of Chicago just to have this again! The food is incredible and the service to match. The staff is so nice and engaging; something that is genuine here.The servings are big but save room for desert! This has become a regular spot for us.

If you're looking for some good barbecue, look no further than Studio Hot Rods Smokehouse. The ribs and pulled pork are some of the best I've ever had, and the prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, and the service is friendly. Definitely check this place out if you're in the area!

Very good bbq, give ‘em a shot! The jalapeño cheddar sausage has a nice kick and the brisket had a good smoke flavor to it.
