The donuts here are other-worldly. Think of every famous bakery treat you’ve ever had — then imagine the best possible version of each, amplified by 20. That’s the level of quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail happening in this place.
I tried the Maple Bacon Long John, Nutella-Stuffed Donut, Pistachio Cream-Filled Croissant, Chocolate Croissant, two Éclairs, and the Cinnamon Crunch Loaf…
Every single one was mind-blowing. Flavors dialed in. Textures perfect. Presentation on point.
If you’re anywhere near this bakery, do yourself a favor and go. This isn’t just dessert — it’s an experience.

I hired Village Bakery to prepare treats for my daughter’s first birthday. I was looking for a smash cake and an assortment of cookies with the Hey Bear Dancing Fruit design in mind. See photos: they turned out phenomenal! The staff really put their heart and efforts into it and I was amazed by the detail. I would definitely recommend hiring them for any custom desserts you may need.
Also, leading up to the party, they were very communicative and made the process of customizing my order painless. I live several hours away from them (I was hosting the party nearby at my parents) so I really appreciated they were responsive via email. I had messaged two other bakeries in the area, and I was either completely ghosted or they never responded to me after that initial contact. Village Bakery did neither and it really set my mind at ease planning a party from a distance.

If your going for donuts don't bother. Got a dozen and they were all really dry and not very tasteful
I've visited to this bakery over the years and it has not been living up to its history.
While the inside looks amazing with the clean paint and ceramic flooring, I miss the coffee bar. It would be great to add chair/table groups (like they have outside) inside by the front windows.
The samples we got were disappointing. The caramel on the cinnamon roll was so hard that half of the pecans were not edible. If the croissant had not had almonds on it I would have known by the flavor that it was an almond croissant.
Stopped in to buy a sweet treat for some coworkers. Bought some of the best macarons I’ve ever had. The customer service was great! I left with a big smile! It will definitely be a regular stop! Thanks!

This place has been gentrified and the donuts have gone downhill. It has been about a year since I've been here but I walked in and it had gotten a major face-lift. I had to ask if they had a Boston cream donut because it was not apparent what kinds of donuts they had. I got 2 donuts and 2 pastries. The Boston cream donut was not a Boston cream donut. It was more of a chocolate iced cream puff. The filling was not custard. The chocolate croissant and cheese danish were good.

I have had an amazing experience here. Katie is extremely kind and accommodating. We have been searching for the right person to make our cake for our wedding for a long time. A lot of places you go you run into bulk order or super corporate atmosphere cake bakers. But here, we felt like family and everything in the world was the way it should be. Very beautiful bakeries shop that she is currently remodeling. Their pastries are awesome and their cupcakes too. The first time I went in there was an older gentleman who said that they were doing such an amazing job just like the previous owners. Thank you so much for everything that you are doing for our family and your compassion and kindness. In a world that has otherwise been very cold and very transactional to people who are getting married, you made this something very special. Massive Kudos!!

The bakery was randomly chosen because the venue was near. The 50th bday cake was beautifully decorated but most important it was delicious not a crumb left.

Visited for the first time today, got a little bit of everything to try it out. Everything was 25% off, and therefore our haul was reasonably priced. It was a clean building, and smelled great! However, all of our treats (even the ones pre-packaged in plastic) were dried out and stale, especially the donuts. They had good enough flavor, but you can’t just enjoy a dry, stale baked good. Maybe they don’t bake fresh for Sunday? Might try it again if I’m in the area, but I was disappointed.

While I have moved out of state, I can’t wait to visit this summer and indulge again. Their donuts are amazing, the danish pastries are to die for, and cookies? Delicious! Everything is so good. If there were a 6 star rating, that’s what I’d give them!
This review is based on what it used to be. I understand that new owners have taken over. The pics on the site must show what used to be. If I’m disappointed this summer, I’ll post a scathing new review.
So, I came back and, unfortunately, was not wowed as in the past. The doughnuts were okay, but the chocolate frosting was runny and the doughnuts themselves tasted like the cooking oil needed a change. We also bought a mixed berry coffee cake, and were equally disappointed. The filling was very inadequate, and the dough was not at all flaky (as in the past, of course). The comparison to what it used to be was a huge disappointment.
The ambiance is very nice - they spruced the place up, and were very accommodating. While the overall quality of what we bought was good, it is far from great, like it used to be. We will not be back.

Since new ownership, the pastries are terrible. They are very dry and taste stale. In addition to the prices doubling. I will not be returning. The only thing good about this place is the friendly staff.

This bakery used to be a frequent Saturday morning stop for our family for the past 9 years, since moving to the area...probably will not be any longer. We miss the old charm of the previous bakery. The new layout feels cavernous, empty, and sterile. The service is still friendly and good. The donuts are certainly not as good as before though, and they cost more too.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. The new owner Katie & her husband as well as other employees went above and beyond to make a customized themed centerpiece cake for my daughter's baby shower that was both beautiful and yummy and it didn't break the bank. It was better than I could have ever anticipated. My daughter wanted a flavor they didn't offer but they accommodated her wish without issue. I was a loyal customer of another bakery however they barely looked at me, explained nothing and handed me a pamphlet for me to go figure it out...When I went to Village Bakery they helped me with everything and were very kind and explained the process thoroughly and with patience when I couldn't decide between all the amazing products they offered. I also purchased some tasty rolls while I was there ordering the cake 🤫 yummy.
