“I totally enjoy the skill of all the wait staff, their ability to inform, enjoy conversation, and do the run down on what the band is like. Owners Tom & Karen are gregarious, fun, interesting people and provide GREAT talented local musicians. The music scene in Wauconda, Illinois is 10 out of ten...bar hopping encouraged. French Martini with Chambourg, an 11 and one drink, my limit...usually. Dancing...FUN! Especially when Karen agrees. Lol. And occasionally, or perhaps too often singing back up to Motown song fulfills my fantasy to be a Temptation, a Top, Little Stevie Wonder, or Marvin Gaye & Tammy Terrell. And yes, the Jackson 5. But there's no mountain higher than backup to a Supremes song, except for a Diana song, or Tina is Simply The Best! But Diana's he PEAK, & so is STRAWBERRY MOON. CHECK IT OUT. WAKANDA FOREVER, on Main Street“

“We had the use of Bliss from 1-5 on a Saturday when they are normally closed.
We hosted a birthday party with 45 people attending, had it catered locally, and hired a 3 piece band playing amplified acoustic music. Owner Alex bartended and did a wonderful job. It’s a lovely and comfortable old building in a great location with an owner that has his head in a very good place. We give it an 11 out of 10. Thanks again Alex.“

“The best Corned Beef around. Stopped in for a sandwich and all I can say is WOW! Added the homemade coleslaw and it was amazing! Great Views of the river abd sun was shining on the beautiful stained glass window accents. Service was great! Price was fair and we will return!“

“What a pleasant change from all the chain restaurants. The owner is someone who loves what he does, takes time to visit your table, and serves recipes handed down from his grandmother and mother. The food is prepared using the freshest of ingredients. The noise level enabled us to easily carry on a conversation. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal.“

“We were in the area after visiting the Trading Post, we noticed the sign for fish fry on Fridays, stopped in around 1pm and was warmly greeted by the bartender, a lot of regulars were inside but she did not ignore us and took our drink and then our fish order. Food came quickly and was delicious! I had the fish tacos. We really felt welcomed and we were satisfied with the whole experience.“

“Great place! Our party of 5 bellied up to the bar and had a great time. Jim our server and Scott the bartender made some great recommendations on drinks and apps. Watermelon margarita was the best one in the flight we had. The Tequilla Old Fashion was fantastic! Definitely made new friends and will be back often“

“Wow, just WOW. Words cannot begin to describe just how pleased I am with my dining experience. Friendly staff, great food, and amazing atmosphere are just some of the things that contributed to my unforgettable experience. Not only was there little to no wait time, the workers were very patient and kind towards me while I was ordering my food. After receiving my food, the least I can say is that I was simply blown away. The portion sizes are immaculate and the flavors are unlike anything I’ve had before. I will definitely be returning here for my future meals and I can’t recommend it to others enough.“

If your from here or seeking info about our town... Then you know where to hang out at. Restrooms, Karaoke, Jukebox, Full Service Bar, Pizza and Chips, Dartboards and plenty of seating available. “I walked into this joint with a bunch of metal heads and it felt like that moment in Tombstone when they walked into the saloon and everyone stopped and looked at them. We had fun on the gambling games and that staff was fast and friendly.“

“The food was so good. Our server, Coco, was friendly and attentive. You can tell she has a good rapport and knows her regular customers as well. Definitely recommend the onion strings and also the supreme nachos for appetizers. Burgers and salads are also great. Really liked the outdoor seating too.“

“Went with the Hubby on a Saturday date and had a great time! The other customers were friendly and we ended up chatting with half the bar before the night was through. 1 pool table but everyone was super chill taking turns to play. Bathroom was clean. Bartender was very attentive. Looking forward to going back!“
“They have a pool table!!!! But can you move it in, just a bit. The poolstick hits the glass too much.Anyway their oven was not working so couldn't try the pizza, but they sold snacks. The drinks are basic but not bad. I don't mind cranberry vodka.Really cheap drinks. Amazing service and cool quiet chill atsmophere.I want to come back and play more billiards.“

“I spent 3 nights here. The hotel is really nice in my opinion. First night was a Friday night. Ordered some alcoholic drinks that were really good. The Thai calamari & Louie burger and fries. Food was great, bartenders that night were really great. Second night. Different crew and the restaurant was pretty packed believe the Milwaukee brewers were playing the cubs to wrap up the series. So yea that was the atmosphere of that night vs Friday night super lowkey fast service. Obviously it was harder to get served that night. I got burnt tenders and the wrong food . So I had to return it immediately. Which was already after waiting an extensive time to even get water to our table. So yea took away from the experience overall. Each visit spent over 100$. Oh and I got that chocolate cake dessert, it was nasty. They had breakfast. Breakfast was good . However, we were told that breakfast came with the room. Every morning we went down for it. The morning of our departure we were met at our table (after we already began eating) how we were going to pay for the food. Nobody discussed / disclosed that you had to have a voucher or pay at the desk. We were told at check in it was covered. Obviously had to escalate it . Still felt like an explanation was not clear. I pretty much answered it myself. So the communication of the staff to customer could definitely use some work. Overall stay was good . Hotel was nice and clean. Only took pics of the good looking food from Friday night & the breakfast.“
