I have been visiting this restaurant for over twenty five years. The only entree I've ever ordered is their roast duck. Sound strange ? Well, if you enjoy duck as I do, I urge you to try the roast duck here. Always delicious, well done & crispy, you can't go wrong. Yes, I've seen other reviews about the reflective age of the patrons who frequent this establishment, who cares ! Villa Bleu serves up quality food at reasonable prices, IMHO
The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is because Fox River Grove is my home town. That said nothing here is fresh, even the salad comes out from the kitchen looking like it was under a heat lamp. Yes they have some decent specials and yes I pride myself on supporting local businesses but the only thing positive about the Villa Bleu is they pour a stiff cocktail which is needed to wash down their food.

A must go to place! Excellent food and service! Hubby had chicken and I had the duck! Fantastic, very tasty. The chef knows how to cook. The chocolate cake looked delicious, but, we didn't have any because we were both full! Going back Friday night for the fish!!!
