I chose this restaurant because it was close to our hotel, highly rated, and within our budget. When we arrived (party of 3), the sign said “Open,” but there was no music - just an Indian drama playing quietly on the TV behind the bar. Three people stood at the counter, but it wasn’t clear if they were staff or customers. No one greeted us. The space felt cluttered and bare at the same time: six empty tables with lightly used tablecloths, a tall table with a silverware caddy and a pile of untidy napkins, and a bar strewn with boxes, papers, and menus. We stood awkwardly until I picked up what I hoped was a menu for my party to review while we waited. Eventually, two people left, and the remaining man asked, “How many?” and motioned for us to sit. He brought over two more menus and three lukewarm waters—two lightly carbonated, one tap. No other customers arrived during our visit.

We ordered chai, palak paneer, lamb curry, garlic naan, and tandoori chicken. Given the minimal service and odd atmosphere, we weren’t sure what to expect. But when the food arrived - brought out by a woman who materialized from the back and the same gentleman who had seated us - we were immediately impressed by the presentation. Plates and silverware seemed like an afterthought, as both servers retrieved them from different areas after the food was already on the table. Still, the food blew us away: rich flavors and generous portions. It may have been the best Indian food I’ve ever had. I had to ask for more water, but the attendant returned promptly with a pitcher. I thought they had forgotten my chai, but it was served after we finished eating. Then came the surprise ending: the man returned to ask for my name and number, explaining they’d send a payment link later.

If the space had more intentional ambiance — some background music, clearer service, a tidier setup—it would’ve been an easy 5-star experience. Nevertheless, I’d still highly recommend this restaurant for the food alone. It's a hidden gem in need of polish.

Place an order for to go. Got 3 long hairs. One in tikka masala and two in butter chicken. It’s not worth!🤢

Ordered via UberEats, and it may have been the worst Indian I’ve ever had. The kadai chicken was soupy and flavorless. More bone than chicken. Naan wasn’t good. Rice…meh. The samosas were pretty ok.

I've only ever ordered online from this place. I wanted to give it a 5 star because I ordered so often for a month straight and enjoyed it the first 2-3 times.. however I'm still looking for consistency in the taste and my orders were all very simple ones.. having said that, the front desk has been exceptional, I've called in after I placed an order online to check if they can make a minor adjustment and Ankit from the front desk was very helpful and professional.. Good work ! I hope the food taste can become consistent.

The food was good. I ordered the paneer makhani - something I tend to order when trying a new Indian restaurant to help me judge their cooking style. Not the best I’ve had, but tasty and delicious. The paneer was a bit tougher than expected. I did appreciate the pricing and portions.

The atmosphere was super weird. We walked in and there were two other tables of two people each, no music, and the greeting was almost as if they were surprised we were there. During our meal, none of the tvs or music were turned on. Other than us and the other table talking, we ate in silence. Not terrible, just weird after reading other reviews and how lively it seemed.

The service was great! It did seem as though the two guys were left in charge without ever being trained or knowing what to do, but they were kind.
It’s worth stopping by if you’re in the area and want Indian food.

I ordered tandoori chicken from Uber Eats. It was incredible! So tender, moist, and flavorful. The green sauce it's served with is great too. Im excited to try more of the menu here.

This fantastic spot offers delicious Indian cuisine with excellent service, making it one of the best in the Chicagoland area. The restaurant is nestled in a great neighborhood with plenty of street parking available. If you're a fan of Indian food or looking to try something new and flavorful, this is a must-visit! Highly recommended this place.

I love going to Nina's. It has such an extensive offering for the non-meat eater. The food is so flavorful. I try at least 1 new dish every time I visit. I have a few favorites but have not had anything that I would not eat again. I feel so welcome in the family environment. I highly recommend! You cannot beat the flavor at a reasonable price.

I tried the curry lamb with naan on the side and was blown away. The food was delicious and very feeling. I honestly can't wait to come back and try more of the dishes on the menu. Definitely a wonderful spot for anyone who loves great Indian food.
