Food was honestly not amazing but decent and hot so there's that. Service was excellent and the remodel looks and feels amazing. The bathroom could use an update next. Overall good visit. Will try breakfast next time.

Great little small town style diner. Good food and good service. The only downside I see is that it is a small place so it can be very crowded at peak times. It is worth it though.

First time and it won't be my last time. Now maybe I should of stuck with a club sandwich or a burger. I ordered the meat loaf yeah sorry never again. I think homemade or Thunder Bay snap on their meatloaf. The place is clean and the customer service was great. Price wise reasonable and I love that !

Terrible. Came in, sat down, 10 minutes goes by without being acknowledged once. No, “I’ll be right there”, “good morning, just give me one second”, nothing. Decided to leave. As we walked out about 4 waitresses and what appeared to be the owner all said, “sorry”. Acknowledging we were never gotten to. No, “omg, please, sit, someone will be right over”, or a “I didn’t realize you weren’t helped, please allow me to do so”. No restaurant etiquette whatsoever ever. A joke, really. Don’t waste your time. Extremely rude.

Good eveing, so i was passing though freeport Illinois and i came across this family Restaurant called Big Apple. The thing that impresses me the most is it is a family business and even the owners kids also are involved in the business. As I walked into the restaurant I saw this amazing display of fresh pies homemade as well as muffins. I ordered the Filet of cod dinner the fish was okay, But it was frozen fish not fresh I think the fish if it was fresh not frozen it would have been alot better. I had clam chowder and coleslaw with my dinner. So far I have to say the clam chowder was amazing you can tell that it was home made and not just from a can.The environment is family friendly I highly recommend this restaurant to everybody I will post pictures online so you can see the food.

Everything was great! I ordered an appetizer combo, 3 blueberry pancakes, a house skillet, some drinks, and sides all for pick-up. Nothing was missing!!! There was a generous portion for each one and very well packaged. I am very pleased with this order.
