Its not a place to get anything fancy but the gyro burger and polish hot dog were good stop and go options! Burger was loaded as was the polish dog.Its obvious that the lady working the front counter is the only one that cares!The cook I would give zero stars if I could. At least remove your apron before you go outside to smoke.Giving 5 stars because the fries were crisp and fresh and it made my pregnant self very happy.

Da Catch is located in Freeport, IL was there checking on my oldest brother and had a taste for catfish nuggets. You have to eat for yourself...yes..that good!

Man. This place has fallen down hill. I order gizzards and they were hard and just overcooked. Everything they cook is frozen you would think you would check the date on the bag. How you gonna be stingy with the sauce. It’s a condiment let me get as much as I want. You have gallons of it. The drop oil never changes. Drop your fries, chicken, shrimp, hotdogs, fingernails and in the same basket. This place was alright at a point of time. Just go to Rockford take that drive or cook it yourself. They are not worth it. If you want more business fix your food service.

Your not going to be open much longer because YOU don't listen to customers & maybe you're not reading the reviews either!Another reason, why is FREEPORT prices so much higher than the ones in ROCKFORD & BELVIDERE? Just because Freeport is smaller doesn't mean you're suppose to discriminate!LISTEN to customers orders & if you keep getting the same complaints something is WRONG on YOUR PART!Crisp & hard are completely different! I don't like my fish hard, but you do it anyway, OTHERS feel the same way & that's why we don't return!We rather stop in Rockford or Belvidere while we're in the vicinity, BETTER FOOD & PRICES!When YOU know better, YOU do better!Good luck in your future endeavors!☮️☮️☮️☮️????????????

Pool was overly warm and very dirty, breakfast was pretty decent, room was fine but not the king bed suite I reserved, elevators did not work right. AC didn’t get as cold as I wanted. Staff was friendly

The hotel is in the middle of the downtown. It has several places around to shop, dine and have some drinks. The hotel was cleaned and it had good amenities (for the price). We went for a wedding and it met our expectations.

Fried chicken and okra were extremely soggy, cakey, and wet as if they were dropped in the oil before it was hot enough to cook properly. I literally had to re-fry the chicken I had just paid $30 for. The okra went straight to the trash can. If they keep making money....It won't be mine!
Stayed here over the weekend. Lobby was clean. Staff was friendly. Rooms were nice. Bathrooms could you a facelift. Can't quite put my finger on it, but even though the bathroom was clean, it felt a little dirty. Elevators were strange. They didn't stop evenly on the floors, and were extremely slow. Front sliding doors banged open when opening. Continental breakfast in the mornings was servicable.

Absolutely appalled with thus restaurant. Hungry on my break at lunch get my food delivered. Spend $18 on 12 wings for them to be smaller than my thumb.... OH WAIT... IT GETS BETTER... As I'm eating it I realize I'm having an allergic reaction. There is a high cross contamination happening in the kitchen. Enough that my husband tries it and asks if it was chicken or fish. Would not recommend. Waste of money. Kitchens has to be filthy and if your allergic to anything on their menu stay farrrrr away.

Not the worst food by any means, but not the best. It’s was hot and fresh from the fryer, but really saturated in oil. Almost like the grease wasn’t hot enough when they put the fish and fries in and it didn’t get that ‘batter sear’ you should have. Large portions- which is a plus. Really sketchy feeling location. No seating for dine in. Would not recommend. Also had more wait time that I thought reasonable to batter and fry some fish when we were the only ones there.

2nd time I've ordered from here and 1st time the gizzards were so overcooked that I ended up throwing them away. So today I had a craving for wings and gizzards and it was late so I placed a order and asked for them to soft cook the gizzards as they were burnt last time. Well once again they were rock hard burnt pieces of yuck. Fries were soggy and well the wings were the only thing edible. I won't be ordering from them again. Will post pic of them so you can see what you will get.

This is our second stay at this location and the hotel is quite nice especially at their price point. The staff is very friendly and helpful and always smiling. The breakfast is good with many choices. The pool and work out center are quite adequate. We visit Freeport to see family and friends and the Hampton Inn will be in our future plans.
