Good old fashioned ice cream in a good old fashioned vintage 1950's ice cream diner. I've been coming here since I was a little child and it's always been fantastic. The food was great.. probably the best blt I’ve ever had.. there was a young boy in there working and was so kind and accommodating to everyone you could tell he loved his job and had a fantastic work ethic! However, the service was slow and you could tell some of the kids working weren’t properly trained.. there was a group of people that walked out during our visit also because they weren’t happy with the service!
This was our first visit, and we’ll definitely be making the journey from Rockford to Freeport again just to visit here. The range of ice cream flavors is unparalleled, and the quality is superb. The building is a fascinating snapshot of a bygone age, a classic ice cream parlor frozen in time.
