Visited Galena to celebrate my wife’s birthday, excellent food, service and atmosphere at Fried Green Tomatoes Restaurant. All elements of the dinner were superior. It was so good. We went two nights in a row had different entrées and we’re not disappointed. Cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough.

Our server, Vera, was outstanding!!! The food.... terrible!!! Cost us a lot for food we did not eat. They gave us free desserts, so that was our meal. We left very hungry, but spent $100. Oh, the salads were good.

Wonderful experience. We had Vera as our server and she really did an excellent job; very attentive and thoughtful. We had steamed mussels, veal, and a lot of cocktails. The mussels is easily one of my favourite food in IL; it has a really great broth that pairs perfectly with their bread. Would definitely go back again.

This place is AWESOME!!!! Food was fantastic, service was great, restaurant was super nice with a comfortable cozy feel. I wish this place was closer to home but will tell all family and friends if the visit Galena, Fried green is a must.

FGT was very accommodating. My group of 4 grew to 6 on a busy Saturday night. They didn't have any standard tables available but then figured to put some high tops together which worked great. It saved me because we had show reservations after.

First time in Galina and we picked this restaurant to try. Food was beyond amazing and service was amazing as well. When we got there and gave our name they immediately said happy anniversary (it was our anniversary trip) they seated us by an electric fireplace - ambiance was cute! The flatbread appetizer was amazing. I had Lobster Ravioli and Adam had mile High Meatloaf it was so good!!
We had the best experience at Fried Green Tomatoes! My boyfriend and I went for our 4 year anniversary, and we had the best evening. Our time was made even better by our amazing waitress Kayla who went above and beyond to make our night special. She was an amazing waitress and very sweet. We will be back next time we com to Galena!

My husband and I had a great anniversary dinner at Fried Green Tomatoes. Our bartender made outstanding suggestions, I was hesitant the espresso filet would taste too strong but it was perfect. They were very accommodating to my gluten free preference. My steak was cooked *perfectly*, walleye was amazing, cocktails were strong and balanced, and the creme brulee was the most wonderful sweet ending to our dinner. We'll definitely be back the next time we go to Galena!
