The raspberry danish/croissant was superb. No wrong choices here, everything looks and tastes great. Also got some cookies, empanadas(not pictured but inhaled), and a scone. Everything was well priced. Definitely a worth a stop and look forward to returning when in Galena.

For those of you who are gluten/dairy free, the vegan berry muffin they have is incredible! It is the only vegan option they have pastry wise but so amazing! They have perfected it! Thank you!

Cute little bakery. The raspberry mocha was delicious as well as their macarons. I love that they had gluten free options as well.

The most perfect macaron! Such wonder employees! I loved their little shop in Galena!
Seriously the best empanadas I’ve ever had. The second you walk in you are greeted with so many delicious smells and the nicest owners. I went back twice in one day because I couldn’t get enough. I wish I lived closer.

Whoever makes the pastry dough knows exactly what they're doing. Both the empanada and the Danish I got were so light, flaky, and flavorful. Highly recommend.

The head chef is gluten free. We went to other coffee shops and bakeries in town. None of them had gluten free options. For gluten free, go to Galena bakehouse for the win!Dietary restrictions: Gluten free and vegan options.

Breakfast is a must, get a box of what you like, cup of coffee or tea, then go climb the hill and have breakfast by the river. Great way to start the weekend.

The place to go for gluten free muffins, almond cake and other treats. Delicious! Apparently the pastry chef is gluten free which is always a good sign for those in the search.

Our first time in Galena, Illinois and it was so much fun!!! Shopped around all the shops and decided to pay a visit to this cute little Galena Bakeshop and it was just soooo adorable! My son ordered the chocolate chip cookie and it was HUGE, I wanted the spinach and cheese empanada but they were out so I opted for the egg, sausage and cheese empanada and that was delicious and the hubs got the berry muffin and he said that was good.Service was excellent! They were so nice! He heated up my empanada so I can eat it right outside on their bench on this cool but lovely October weather. We absolutely loved everything. I highly recommend this little bakeshop for some delicious, freshly baked goodness! Yum!
