We first went into Embe as it is a location on Main St in Galena that serves food after most other kitchens have closed for the evening. The appetizer, sandwiches, salad and bread pudding we were served were so much more than we expected. Rather than a quick late night bite, we had a well prepared and enjoyable meal. We had a great lunch at Embe while we were in Galena. We both had the blue cheese and kale soups. My husband had the Cuban and said it was really good! I went for the PBandJ on the menu - also excellent!

This is more of a sandwich shop but the sandwiches we had were piled high and delicious. They also have a delicious, homemade bread pudding. Staff is really, really friendly which is so welcoming.
