“This place is worth the drive. Finding other area restaurants closed on Mondays, we came here for an early dinner. Our table was next to the window with a great view of the Mississippi. Service was good and wait time was decent. We had good service and good food at a reasonable price. The chicken noodle soup was very good. I’m not a fan of onion rings, but we ordered them and they didn’t disappoint. Barbecue chicken wings were on par with most restaurants. Google lists this restaurant as Sunset Grille, but we ate in the section called “The Summit” next door on the property. Menu is reportedly the same.“

“Wonderful food and excellent service. We found out about Fried Green Tomato from a local business owner. Then, before our reservation we spoke to several other people from Galena, and everyone raved about this restaurant. We were so excited to go. We were not disappointed! Our server was friendly and helpful. The other staff were really on top of things. We never had an empty plate on the table, and our water was always full. Our meal was amazing. The fried green tomatoes were a creative spin on the traditional fried green tomatoes. They were crispy on the outside, tender and tart on the inside, There was cheese on the bottom, maybe Parmesan, and melted cheese on the top, all surrounded by perfect dollop of tomato sauce. We ordered lasagna and cauliflower steak. Both were delicious! Entrees are served with a salad and bread, which we enjoyed. The portions are large, but I saved room for crème brûlée. We are already planning our next meal there. We might order the small plates and try more items since it was so hard to decide what to order. Definitely try the fried green tomatoes if you go there.“

“We went on a Sunday afternoon, very light atmosphere. We were seated in front of the large windows overlooking the golf course, it is a beautiful view. Our waiter was excellent, came back numerous times to check in, refill water, and grab any items we needed. We ordered the burnt ends and corn dip appetizer, which was absolutely delicious and a meal in itself! We ordered the Highlands Club and Burger, both were AMAZING! The fries and sweet potato fries we had on the side were fantastic. It was so much food, impossible to finish. I would recommend to others.“

“It was NYe, wasn't very crowded, but service was very slow. By the time my wife's meal was finally brought out I was already done with my meal, and all she ordered was chicken. We were told another server took her order to a different table, drink refills were very slow as well, we wanted to stay longer, but wasn't worth the wait“
