“Went for the AYCE Whiting on a Friday and left full and happy. There was a bit of a wait for my food to come out but service was very friendly and the fish itself was delicious and worth the wait. Definitely seems to be freshly battered and fried to order. Casual atmosphere made me feel comfortable and homey. Will be back for sure!“

“We stopped by while at a wrestling tournament. The waitress/cashier was friendly and very attentive. We got our food to go & it was ready quick. Our order was accurate, the food was hot, and everything we needed was in the bag. They have a huge menu and the portions are very generous. We all enjoyed our food. Our son are a 1 pound hamburger ?. Said it was good. Wish they had regular seating. Not a fan of bar stools.“
“Classic roadside stand in Thomson for ice cream and fast food. It was on a drive along the Mississippi River that we came across it, which is one of the few places to eat in town. Bear's Drive-Inn caught our attention with the big bear on the side of the building. Pretty basic drinks and food as expected. The prices are pretty good for the area it seems. About the only people who come here are the locals and those who happen across it whole coming through going to somewhere else. It was warm and we thought to stop here. This is like the local version of Dairy Queen it seems. Got some cold treats including the Frazil. It's about $1.50 for the small one. This is basically a slushie. As for the hot food, it's basic. It's about $3 for a pretzel. This may be the healthiest food really. Other items are burgers and hot dogs. These looked pretty greasy from what we could see. Of course don't expect healthy. This is one of the few places to eat for miles. Has okay stuff but it's a classic. It's pretty easy to spot with the big bear on it. They're cash only, which is another bad thing.“
“First time eating here at this little family restaurant. We ordered a Western Skillet and a Chicken Fiesta Skillet. Both were very good. The restaurant was quiet and not overly crowded. If you like cheese this is a great skillet. It was stringy and gooey and different than just melted cheese on top of everything else. I would eat here again. Just a note that on card transactions they charge a 3.9% fee.“
“Honestly, one of the best pork tenderloins we've found! I really enjoyed the topping options. I got a spicy tenderloin and my husband got a horseshoe tenderloin. Also, they have half price apps during the week from 2-5, so that was a pleasant surprise!“
“I've been here multiple times with my parents and husband. It's a designation spot, as my parents are elderly now and they reminisce of the good times they've had here and around the world. We always get the chicken George and my dad and I drink cosmos. Evan was our waiter today and he was especially attentive. We've always been greeted when we arrive. The bathrooms are always very clean and smell like they've just been freshly cleaned. I can't say enough about this restaurant. There is outdoor seating too when the weather is warm. Indoors are big windows and the view is delightful.“
“I'm generally not a fan of applebee's, i've had a lot of bad experiences. I was desperate for a late night steak so I gave it a shot. The steak was good and the mashed potatoes were surprisingly good. The bartender (Jessie I think) was very friendly.“
