I can't say enough about this place. We were on a group motorcycle ride and decided to do a random stop for some drinks just as they opened. Sarah and Nate were awesome very friendly and extremely helpful. If you are in the area, I would recommend this stop.
Friendly staff, clean bar.
At the time we were the only people there but I heard daytime hours are busiest.

Manning's Whistle Stop is a charming small town bar with live music and a friendly atmosphere. The owner serves as the server, bartender, and maybe even the chef, providing excellent service. The food is delicious, with no complaints from anyone in the family. Prices are reasonable, and the drinks are good. While some regulars may seem unwelcoming to newcomers, the experience overall is highly recommended for anyone passing through Iowa. It's a great place to stop for lunch with family or even on a birthday party bus.
