“This is my favorite burger place ever ever ever. I love how flavorful the burgers are, and oh my gosh, the pork tenderloins are the best ever too!!! If you order a pork tenderloin try it with extra pickle. I love Porkies breakfast too, the pancakes are sooo good, they are very unique and delicious, almost spongey because they are soo good at holding the perfect amount of syrup and butter. The biscuits and gravy are the best, if you love biscuits and gravy you have to try theirs. Ughhh, Porkies I love you!!!“
“We like to food at Culver's, but what really stood out during this visit was the crew. A young man was getting ready to walk the floor looking to clean up and ran to get the door for an elderly couple. A young lady was very kind to us and gave us free custard! We'll be back.“
“We were there Monday3/25 it was 6$ Burger basket night and the restaurant was busy! We sat at the bar and immediately noticed a less then friendly bartender that was yelling at the hostess not to sit anyone else at the bar because the other bartender had called in. She was visibly upset throwing things being rude to other customers, throwing drinks around etc. After 5 minutes of no eye contact or any semblance of acknowledgement we asked for a table. Our waiter was good he took our drink order quickly and was back promptly. Our burgers were delicious and the resident magician still has me wondering how he did the card trick! All in all my son and I had a good experience not counting the negatives of sitting at the bar. I would recommend this place for good fresh food anytime!“
“Traveling through Quad City area, we stopped here for lunch and would definitely come back. The food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. I had the hot roast beef sandwich and the meat was tender with no fat. The gravy was delicious, it was not salty and had good beef flavor. My partner had a bacon burger and fries and the fries were so fresh - they came right from the fryer - HOT. The burger was good, too. After reading reviews we decided to have a slice of pie - chose pumpkin - and definitely a “made from scratch” pie. Great flavor, maybe the best I’ve had in awhile. The crust was disappointing though. Bland, calories without any flavor. We would definitely stop here again.“
“Fantastic Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches! Owners are amazing and are really community oriented. I highly recommend you to stop into their timeless store or go enjoy their delicious offerings at one of the many local events in they serve at in Downtown Moline!“
“Very nice decor and setting. Extensive bourbon list of course. Very good wine list. I wanted to rate them 4.5 stars but there isn't that option. The salads were excellent with a very good Caesar salad and a seasonal salad. My companions loved the pasta dish with scallops. They also loved the short rib gnocchi. The lobster risotto was exceptional and generous. The lobster bisque though on the other hand did not have any lobster although that could be the chef's choice. The steak was good and cooked to the ordered degree, but did not taste prime but choice quality. The brussel sprouts on the side were excellent. I would go again.“
“Didn't have food but woulda gave it a 5 as well...best place in QC for everything!!!.. Ashley n Christine are the best ! Donnie n Lynn are the greatest owners, people and friends. They know what it's like to be real n how to treat you.. love you! ❤️“
“The historic house provided a wonderful atmosphere and a great view of the Mississippi below. Ordered cocktails, salmon, turkey dinner, and chocolate chip cookie with ice cream dessert. Everything was delicious! They had local spirits from Mississippi River Distilling. I ate just the right amount of food. As a garlic lover, the garlic salad was awesome! My husband could have eaten more, but was satisfied with the quality of food.Vegetarian options: The entire menu is limited (but good). They offer vegetarian pasta and salads“
“We had a great experience at Duck Creek Pancake House. Our server was a very friendly and attentive young man. He genuinely seemed to enjoy his job and was great at it! Our breakfast was ready super fast and everything about it was delicious and perfectly prepared.“
“This is becoming one of my favorite places. Great atmosphere. It's not a huge menu, which is nice, allowing them to focus on the quality of the dishes they do have. Prices are some of the best I've seen in the area of drinks and food. The presentation was perfectly executed, and the portions were huge. I had the Blt paired with a side salad, a side of fries, and we added bread service. Excellent from start to finish.“
“Split the double Catfish dinner and we got the crab cakes. The Catfish was fried nicely and not overly greasy. I do think the breading could have used more seasonings as it was a bit bland. The fish cakes were still a bit wet when served but still very serviceable. The special tarter sauce was much better than the standard sauce served with the catfish.“
“While visiting the QCA, we stopped here late afternoon for the first time in years with the intention of ordering from their all-day breakfast selection. We ended up having fish and chicken on the recommendation of a regular of this restaurant. The food and service was very good all around and the prices were super reasonable.“
“Le Claire is a really cute town but I couldn't decide what to grab for lunch. Settle on this for a burger based on other reviews but to be honest I wasn't confident when I drove up. The place is clean and nice (for a place that has a pool table as you walk in. There was only one person working most of the time but dang she was on it! Food was hot and tasty. She cooked and served. Eventually a server showed up. I was surprised to see lots more women having lunch here than guys having a couple of beers. Am sure the crowd varies by time of day but lunch was definitely different than expected. There are a couple of tables outside, front and back. The view of the river is nice and there are big TVs for watching ball. Tables as well as a bar area inside.“
“I really enjoy the simple ole fashioned atmosphere Argo maintains. Simple furnishings, easy menu and great personable staff make me a return customer! The prices are fair, the selection is adequate, and the staff is attentive and friendly. Thanks Argo!“
“We were seated very quickly and the waitress came out in about 5 minutes, took our drink order, brought it in about 10 but NEVER seen her again. Finally after 30 minutes of waiting we asked for a new server. They moved us to a new server and he was fantastic (wish I could remember his name). The sad part is the waitress didn’t have many tables and just kept disappearing. Anyways, she lost out on a $65 dollar tip. My husband had the meatloaf and said it was horrible!!! And he eats anything! River House has gone downhill since we were last there about year and half ago. No wonder they weren’t that busy last night and we got seated immediately“
“Sitting on the north bank of the Rock River, this place is pretty large. We apparently went in through one of three doors so pay attention. We were early enough to pick a booth, and were promptly given menus. I checked out the salad bar but decided to try the Grilled Cheesy Burger. Just like it sounds, a grilled cheese sandwich with Texas Toast meets 1/2 pound cheeseburger. A couple of onion rings on top for good measure as well. The steak fries were a little crispy but still good. Will return again.“
“Friday evening from supper to close enables football and basketball watchers to eat a delicious burger or roast beef sandwich. I love both these items. The catfish special offers a nice sized fish DEEP FRIED to a golden delight...all these items are available with "basket " or ala cart. Fries, cole slaw and pickle...go with the items on the menu. The Bar, Tables or booths. You're comfort and good food are here. CheeseburgerItalian Beef Sandwich“
“Hemispheres is THE premier dining experience in the Quad Cities. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable, professional, and highly attentive. When you come to Hemispheres, be prepared to stay awhile and truly enjoy every part of your dining experience. Every single dish is cooked and created to perfection. Some favorites include the nachos (the BEST nachos you will ever have), the crab cakes, the salmon with huckleberry finishing sauce, the side carrots and risotto. You truly cannot go wrong with any item on the menu. To drink, I highly recommend the Gold Rush as well as any of their red wines. The desserts are decedent…I cannot recommend the sticky bread pudding enough. Hemispheres is truly a high class dining experience and you will not leave disappointed!“
“We were passing through Iowa and need to stop for the night... It was late and need to find a place to feed the our family quickly on a Saturday night(a day prior St Patrick's)... I let my fenamine child pick a place... Being a typical teen, she thought this place looks 'cool'... The woman related my marriage gave me a death stare for trusting a 'child' (she is 19) for our dinner fate... We got there roughly at 9:30pm...there were bars and happenings in the area... It was loud and lots lots of happiness... More death stare from... This place that we ate was Amazing! The food and service were just beyond our expectation for a bar?! We ordered the following: * Buffalo chicken dip(appetizer) * Blacken Fish Tacos * Sea Worthy Burger Let me say this without hesitation the appetizer has more originally and taste than any appetizers I have had in the past decade from any restaurant... My burger was a double stack cooked perfectly( medium rare - without being asked)... The fish taco was just devine - it has cut mangos! Look I know there are good restaurants out there... Seriously, this is by far the BEST food I have EVER EATEN from a bar... Did I mentioned they have live music? This place is a gem! Love to come back.“
“Creative menu items, tasty food, and comfortable environment. They will surely outgrow this space when word gets out. They earned every bit of this 5-star rating! (Just grab the menu at counter, chalkboard is cute but hard to make a decision from).“
“After I had a "not so good" experience with not only my door dasher, but an employee that may have been new or inexperienced, the owner 100% took care of it right away in a professional manner!! He was very friendly and apologized for the mix up.Thank you so much! I will be ordering again ! I'll pick up next time though ;)“
“We hadn't been in since Mickey's (previous name and owners) closed and decided to give it a go today. We were pleasantly surprised how open and airy it felt and a completely different look than Mickey's had. It was well lit and very clean. The servers were wonderful! Our drinks were constantly refilled, and not always by our server - any server walking by offered coffee, which I loved. Our meals were delicious and generous portions. I had the Hobo Skillet and had it with the country potatoes as opposed to hash browns. There was just enough potatoes, so as to not over take the dish. The amount of green peppers and onions was plentiful, as was the sausage. I opted for the pancakes as my side and was pleasantly surprised at the fluffiness and light, airy texture. (I'm not a pancake fan as a rule, but glad I ordered these. Although, one went home with us.) The cheese topping was wonderful - ooey and gooey and melty! And the over medium eggs were perfectly cooked. My husband ordered the ham and cheese omelet with cheddar as his cheese and he also commented on the amount of cheese and ham in his dish. We liked the option of fresh fruit as opposed to just potatoes. Dan said the fruit was very fresh. My only "complaint" was that the coffee wasn't as strong as I like, but the flavor of it was fine. We were sorry we hadn't given this lovely little Cafe a try before now.Parking: Asphalt lot with no pot holes and we'll tended. The parking is ample for the size of the restaurant.“
“First time at this place and it did not disappoint. We were traveling through area from out of town and most breakfast places closed at 2pm, this one was open longer. Many regular customers inside and the food was excellent. Serves breakfast all day and other lunch/home food. Had a couple desserts and they were awesome as well. Service was top notch - great home meals easy to get to if you are traveling through!“
“We stopped in for supper. I had the grilled tenderloin and my wife had the chicken sandwich with waffle fries. Everything was cooked well with great seasoning. Their house sauce is very good-somewhat tangy and you can taste the bourbon flavoring. The food order came out quick even though the place was busy. We will definitely go back and recommend to others.“
“Some of the best food I've had around here, the burgers were fresh and hot when it got to my table. The fries were the most crunchy and perfectly cooked. The only problems I had were: I didn't have room to eat it all and not very many seats. The food was great though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Wheelchair accessibility: Little tight but it'll fit“
“My partner and I decided to try somewhere new but close to home and fell upon Valley Inn. It was a quiet bar with wonderful atmosphere! Our bartender was sweet without being overly chatty yet always attentive! We weren't hungry when we went but I'm excited to try their food soon:) their patio is also well maintained and fully shaded!“
“Me and my husband had the most amazing experience today.Zoey was a phenomenal waitress and Niki and amazing manager as well as the first manager who greeted us. We were given sides to try since it was our first time as well as a welcome to Davenport area free steak seasoning.Best experience ever.“
“Mulkey's is a place we've always made a point of visiting when we come home. My father-in-law was a regular there who everyone always stopped to say hello to. He passed this week at age 97, and Mulkey's was the last place he visited. There's nothing spectacular in the atmosphere there, but while other places are trying to assimilate nostalgia, Mulkey's offers the real deal.“
“I went here in 2023 when I was in town for a tournament. They had a few vegan options and the food was great. I came back in January 2024 and they don't have the tofu anymore, but they have a rice and black bean bowl which was really good. The person working there said that they normally keep some tofu on hand, but it wasn't fresh when I came.“
“We went in when you originally opened and weren't impressed with the food. We hadn't gone back sense until the other night. I was impressed by the interior of the place. The staff was friendly and kind. And the food was actually very good. We will be back for more. And would recommend for anyone to try it out.“
“We flew 4 families from around the country to crash at a local Airbnb for a family reunion. We decided to take a stroll to the Valley Country Cafe, at the recommendation of my mom (who had eaten there the day before), with 10 people on a Friday morning. Immediately impressed, they had a table ready for us (my mom had warned them we were coming) and were on top of drinks within moments of us arriving. I'm always pleased with a carafe of coffee at the table, so we didn't have to ask for refills. This was a nice touch! The menu has just about anything you could ask for, from pancakes & crepes, to omelets and a variety of biscuit & gravy options... The kids & grownups alike were beyond excited by the sprinkles and chocolate chip options for the pancakes. They kept on top of our drink refills, our food arrived promptly & was hot and delicious, and service was amazing. The entire staff was friendly and easy to talk to. They didn't hesitate to bring hot sauces or refills whenever we'd asked. The food was delicious! Hot, fresh, well seasoned! I usually cringe at the idea of taking a large party out to eat, because inevitably - something goes wrong... but not this time. It was an amazing experience, from service to food, all the way around. We will definitely be back when we're in town again!“
“This is a fun place! The outside patio is nice and they have a cool area for bands to play also. The bartender was very friendly and service was good! The inside atmosphere needs some help tho. Otherwise, this is a good place to stop and have a quick drink, or hangout with a few friends.“
“It's nice to have MLK day off from work - three-day weekends are great from school, and their just as good in adult life. After a day spent largely across the river in Rock Island and East Moline, I took a rest at home. I needed a night cap and some dinner however. What better way to accomplish both of those things than a quick trip out to a nearby bar?I have no other reason to traverse Central Avenue in Bettendorf. I live within a 5 minute drive of Central Ave Tap, but I don't need to visit Neil Armstrong Elementary, nor is there anything else along the road for me to visit currently. I've driven by before on my way to visit friends that live in the area, just never stopped in here ever for a drink or food. Well, that changes tonight - I needed a gin and tonic and a burger before bed! There's not too much to say about Central Ave Tap. Its a bar in the bottom half of a building all to itself. There're two pool tables, a few dart boards, and a long bar that runs the whole length of the space. Newish wood laminate floor covers most of the inside, as does the newer looking drop ceiling. There's a TouchTunes jukebox along the wall - one of the new variety that lets anyone with the corresponding phone app play anything they like with the touch of a button from their phone. Suffice to say, the space is well maintained and clean.I settled at the bar on my visit and got my gin and tonic to start. They only had well gin - Fleischmann's I think? - it was fine, made a good G&T. After a quick perusal of the menu, I settled on a burger and fries, both of which I got to watch the bartender prepare right from my seat at the bar. This was a new experience for me - the stove and, really, the entire kitchen area are right there, unsegregated from the rest of the space, to watch as you please. It was actually kind of neat, plus the food came out super fresh.I enjoyed both the burger and fries. The burger was a simple pre-formed frozen patty, but it tasted fresh all the same. The fries were crinkle cut, fried to crispy perfection. The total portion size was exactly what I needed for the evening - not too much, not too little.Given a similar urge, I'd come back here for another burger. It felt kind of weird just randomly coming here. The space had the distinct feeling of being a local pup, a sort of common space for mostly those that lived close by. I hope I didn't intrude much. It's definitely a nice space. Thanks Central Ave Tap!“
“hidden gem...Unassuming on the outside but charmful inside. Open for business plus food service on Monday so big bonus. Very clean and welcoming staff..kristy the bartender a big standout. There for happy hour and prices can't be beat plus the food was a big surprise..every one, even my picky wife, left singing the praises of Bottoms Up (get the Nachos).“
“I love this place! When it was Barley & Wine I only ever came once. But this place is so good I’ve been twice in a week! My friend suggested it and I’m so happy she did.I was so happy my bacon was crispy when I asked for it last time. This time I got the breakfast burrito. Soo yummy but hot cause it’s pressed. Check out this deliciousness!! Even better with a little pancake syrup on it. I got hash browns inside. Very filling! The owner was around both times and she’s super nice and attentive watching things or checking in.Kid-friendliness: High chairs. Kinda spacious.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp if you park on the side of the building and there’s a side door to get in.“
“It doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that deter you. The chef knows how to cook! I was almost seduced by the Station 4 Burger which promised a lot of heat, but decided to go with their famous Tug Burger instead. And it was really good. Burger patty tastes hand-made and fresh. Onion rings were the best I have had in recent memory. And the cheese fries are to die for.Service was fast and friendly despite a bit of a crowd.“
“Our first visit to Moline to watch some Storm hockey for the weekend. We headed here twice for food and pre-game drinks Feb 2/3, 2024. Returned because it was so great the first time!VIPs is a great laid-back atmosphere for casual dining and cold beer! The burgers are amazing -- try the BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger! It's the Saturday burger special and it's one of the tastiest I have ever had. Paired with onion rings... ? Soups were amazing as well, nice to have that option as a side. Our server was amazing, very attentive and friendly, even though she was run off her feet working an 18 hour shift! Thank you Lauri! This place should be your go-to before any Vibrant Arena event -- or anytime for that matter. Great value and awesome service. Did I mention cold beer and killer burgers?“
“We really enjoyed the restaurant. The food was amazing. I forgot to take pictures. But we will be going back. My husband’s burger was perfectly cooked with a balanced out cheese and mushroom ratio on a deliciously toasted bun. I had the grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickles. The chicken was juicy and not chewy at all. The bun was toasted and buttery did not need sauce the flavor was awesome! I had onion rings and they were so good! The kids had a cheeseburger all the way with fries. And chicken tenders with fries and a ranch sauce. My daughter doesn’t like ranch but she liked theirs! Great flavors and great service! We will be going back!“
“Food itself was very good! However order accuracy is important to me. We were missing five items, three of them being sauces. Not the biggest deal though. Staff was friendly otherwise, we paid to get the sauces anyhow but it felt like false advertising when the menu said a sauce was included with the item. Flavor for the burger patties seemed very bland. I did however love the atmosphere and decoration. The onion rings and cinnamon sugar bites were absolutely delicious though and worth every penny. I was also told the fried shrimp basket also tasted amazing. Friendly staff otherwise, we did end up paying extra to get the sauces... It did seem like false advertising when what we ordered was supposed to come with a sauce. The classic diner feel and decor though was amazing and honestly loved how it made others smile! Will definitely recommend them for their appetizers! Amazing breakfast options and shakes as well I've heard from the locals so if we end up back in the area sometime we might just have to check that out. Definitely recommend for families!Kid-friendliness: Wonderful for families and kids seem to love the food and decor.“
“If you’re from out of town they will know, so don’t be an idiot. Bartender doesn’t drink so don’t ask her twice. I’ve been there more than four times and I’ve had a blast every single time. It is an acquired taste. Love it can’t wait to go back. “For the record” it has some time since I have had food there, but it was always delicious every time I have ordered previously.“
“The staff was super friendly and helpful, it was my first time and they were very nice about it. I ordered the cheese sticks and a CBR sandwich with fries, the food was so good! My kid loves the cheese sticks and he's kind of a snob about them, and the bun in particular on the CBR was notably excellent. I'm only in town for a couple days but I'm strongly considering coming back to try the pizza.“
“Stopped in for lunch on a Saturday. There were a few people at the bar that seemed to be regulars, but we felt welcome, and got in our drink and food orders. The bartender was our server and did a good job. You can order from the Happy Joes/Rudy's that is next door, or you can order off their bar menu of sandwiches, etc. I think the only difference is how you order - if it's off the bar menu the server takes the order, otherwise you call over to the neighboring restaurant and they deliver it. Two of us got cheeseburgers...they were pretty good-a nice soft bun and a good burger. Fries were OK. The other in our party got the chicken fingers. They were fine, with very nice tender chicken, and an OK coating. Our server was attentive and very pleasant.“
“This place just gets better with each visit! Our server was attentive and patient. We never had to ask for refills or when our food was coming because everything flowed like a well choreographed dance. The food was worth every penny and then some! Meaty wings, sauced just right. Crisp and hot french fries. Outstanding taco pizza. Grilled to perfection burger and the salad didn't make me feel like I was eating less than while trying to make better choices eating out. The Daytona Sauce is delicious and we couldn't have been any happier with our visit!“
“Great place for appetizers. Started spring break here with some peers. Pretzel bites delicious. Ribeye quesadillo wad amazing. Mushrooms and cheese balls were good. The best was the crab Rangoon egg rolls. First time here but won't be last.“
“Upon arrival, we were welcomed by the order taker. I asked about yue ice cream flavor of the week and the manager over heard the conversation and quickly offered me a free sample. Our order was exactly what we asked for, and the food was delivered hot and fresh to the table. Rest rooms were clean, dining area clean and well lit. No complaints.“
“We went here, because it was wheelchair accessible, after not being able to get inside Creative Pastry down the street.Inside there are high table tops and a dimly lighting. We were the only ones there for lunch. The wait staff went above and beyond to accommodate us. The worker serving us was sweet and had good menu suggestions.Food was what you might expect from a dive bar but it satisfied us for lunch. ?We got a burger basket which was decent, chicken fingers (not a fan tasted of the pre-frozen variety) and the egg rolls (very tasty but greasy)Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair friendly for entry but high bar- height tables. If you have a wheelchair that can rise up this won’t be a problem. ?“
