“Decided to give this place a try on our way through town.... I'm so glad we stopped in.... We were greeted when we walked in. Jj was at our table in less than a minute taking our drink order and greeting us.... He brought back our drinks and struck up a conversation about D3 football we had our boys team logo on our sweatshirts). We had a nice conversation.... The waitress came over when our conversation ended and took our order...then we had a conversation with the waitress ( Brandy) ... these folk were so friendly and welcoming. Appetizers = Mushrooms they were fine Entrees - Chicken finger With waffle fries and a salad bar.... Yummy. The chicken fingers were hand breaded....the waffle fries were huge and seasoned just right.... The salad bar was worth every penny..... My husband ordered the Entree- Chicken wings.... They were meaty and cooked just right..... he chose the sweet chili sauce... he also had the soup from the salad bar and said it was real good. When we were done eating the sweet waitress brought us Pumpkin bars from the salad bar for desert...... they were moist and Oh So Yummy!!! The waitress Brandy was so sweet too! We will stop back In when we are up that way!! This place is a gem in such a small community!“
“Worth venturing off of Route 20! We pass though the area a few times a year to go to Apple Canyon. So glad we stopped and tried this place! My husband had the Ultimate Burger, I had the 911 wrap with Mac N cheese. All delicious and affordable!“
“Very home town hang out feel. Great drink and food specials all week. Food was fast. Attended a fundraiser hosted and put on by the staff of Slurp N' Burpfor a local who is undergoing brain surgery. Tight-knit-community-esque. Gaming, darts, and pool available. Suitable for all ages during daylight hours. Loved the sweet corn bites from the sampler.“
“This diner exudes authentic, small town Midwestern charm, with great food. If you're heading to Galena from Chicago, this gem of a breakfast/lunch place is worth your time to stop here. The picture and mural on the wall show a 1897 established date. The decor and everything from the flooring to the ceiling is from that turn of the century and is in great shape. Service is quick and friendly. Everything is made from scratch, is tasty and very reasonably priced. Thanks for a great lunch, Stella! We'll be back!“
