Everything was wonderful at the general restaurant in Galena. I would highly recommend it to anybody that would like a nice quiet meal. The ambience was just excellent. The ribs were outstanding. Everything was just perfect. Won't go back again.
We stayed at the DeSoto and ate in the Courtyard Restaurant two mornings and were not disappointed. Saturday breakfast was excellent and the Sunday brunch was amazing. Salad, fruit, scrambled eggs, bacon/sausage, cheesy hashbrown casserole, biscuits and gravy, fajitas, frittata, waffles, french toast, an omelette station, carved ham and prime rib, and desserts. The Courtyard Restaurant staff is incredible, the restaurant is lovely, and the food is delicious!
Visited the General twice this past week. Food was excellent. Drinks were yummy...a bit on the costly side. Drop by $3 or $4 and u will have more repeat customers.
