I use a rating system of 1-5 for restaurants (took a trip to Galena for the week in early February (watch out -- I've heard it closed permanently): 1) Price [1=expensive, 5=inexpensive] = 1 (expensive for what you get) 2) Ambience [1=none, 5=beautiful] = 2 (space seemed too large and not very well decorated) 3) Service [1=horrible, 5=perfect]: 2 (waitress was extremely attentive, but food and drinks took a very long time to be served) 4) Food/Drinks [1=awful, 5=fantastic]: 4 (had ceviche - very good - excellent jalapeno margaritas) OVERALL [Average of above 4 ratings] = 2.25 (2 stars, rounding down)

Miguel and his family are wonderful people, and they serve some of the best authentic Mexican cuisine in the area. Worth the time if you are hungry. You won't be disappointed.

One of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at. The margaritas were outstanding made with fresh fruit juice. All of the food we ordered was amazing and homemade. The staff were wonderful, so nice and accommodating. Prices are higher than a typical Mexican restaurant but completely worth it.

Food was good. Service was ok. Our bill was astronomical for only 4 people.. we were charged a gratuity on 4 people.. we were never told this. We trusted our bill and paid and added another 20% tip on top( didn’t realize one was already on the bill for 4 people!!!??!) Also our bill had a service fee of like $7.54. A little disappointed in the owners who served us.

Came for margaritas and they were some of the best I’ve ever had. Near the time I was ready to leave, I noticed a “CASH ONLY” sign on the back of the register, which sent me into a panic as I only had a credit card on me; however, they do accept credit cards. (Staff: maybe remove this sign if it’s no longer true)
Food was below average quality, massively over-charged. $50 for a steak fajita with 3 mini tortillas and a single tortilla (ie folded) steak and cheese quesadilla. At this price, either the quality or serving sizes need to be changed dramatically.Would love to say that service was at least good, but by the time the server came to get our drink, they were able to take our food order as well. At one point, I was asked if I wanted salsa, and then prompty forgotten about. Why even ask?No free chips or salsa, a staple in Mexican restaurants, and $10 for a side of fries.Absolutely ridiculous, go anywhere else.

Very pricey--$22 for a vegetarian taco lunch (!) but a great alternative to pub food. We arrived with a group of 6 on a very busy shopping Saturday in early November and they were able to seat us immediately.

Wow! The food was not up to the size of the bill. Super small portions, three of the tacos I ate had gristly parts and the meat was not very tender the tortillas were super undercooked falling apart like mash. And the bill was insane. Overall I felt like 65 dollars for 12 tacos was way too much to pay for tacos that were not even very good. Future visits to Galena will be a hard pass if anyone suggests eating here.

Food was authentic and delicious. Homemade Mexican fair. They have both Mexican and American tacos. We opted for the Mexican option and it was delicious. Hot sauce is homemade and the best you will find anywhere.
