This restaurant, in my opinion, is as close to a Michelin star restaurant as one can get in Galena! I have never had a bad meal here. The food quality is 5 star, the service is impeccable and the cocktails perfect. Dino, Sammy and their father, Frankie Rigopoulos are hands on owners who ensure customers are treated exceptionally well and you leave with a smile on your face. The wait staff is always accommodating and take the extra step to make your dining experience one you won't soon forget. The sakanaki is the best I have ever eaten and always look forward to enjoying it when I am visiting. The steaks are always cooked to perfection! I have enjoyed everything from steak to fish to chicken and its always been top quality. I suggest you make reservations in advance and if your in Galena your missing out if you don't stop in and enjoy a delicious meal and great cocktails and some friendly conversation.

First time in Galena and most places were closed. Went here and the bartender lady and man were just plain rude and unfriendly. Never going back. Better places around after we left. Tourist town and they work here? Wow. Bypass this place if in Galena, go anywhere else. Food is great everywhere, and customer service great elsewhere also. Have fun, live/love life, so dont stop here.

I use a rating system of 1-5 for restaurants (took a trip to Galena for the week in early February): 1) Price [1=expensive, 5=inexpensive] = 3 (average for a steakhouse these days) 2) Ambiance [1=none, 5=beautiful] = 5 (cool bar area, eating area very cozy) 3) Service [1=horrible, 5=perfect]: 4 (waiter was attentive and food and drinks were served in a reasonable timeframe - could have been a little friendlier) 4) Food/Drinks [1=awful, 5=fantastic]: 5 (had filet and old fashioneds) OVERALL [Average of above 4 ratings] = 4.25 (4 stars, rounding down)

I come to Galena often and I always make time to go eat at the Log Cabin. Last night I brought my fiancé out for her birthday. To put it nicely the food and service was not what I expected. We ordered two New York strips medium rare and when we got them, nothing but disappointment. The crust of the steaks tasted so hard and burnt but the inside was so red and raw. I love mine Greek styled but it didn’t have the usual greek taste that I loved. Everything about this experience turned me away, I wanted to let my waitress know but I didn’t want to make a scene or embarrass anyone in anyway. It was also my fiancé birthday and they did nothing for that also. it was just the worst experience ive ever had there which was so upsetting considering the big day. The price off 200$ to not finish anything except for the complimentary bread.

Very good venue for carnivorous appetites. The lamb chops, pork chops, and sides were excellent.
There were some minor critiques I could provide regarding the food, but of all the places we've eaten in Galena, this is probably where I'd be most likely to go back or recommend to a friend. The fried cod was the absolute best I've had in the area and the portion was massive. The burger was a tad overcooked, but still delicious. You could tell it was a high quality burger. Bottom line, if you are looking for a great old fashioned supper club experience, look no further.

This restaurant is top notch. My partner and I visited based on several YouTube videos of top rated restaurants in Galena. The prime rib was outstanding and the salmon was excellent as well. Make sure you also get the Saganaki.
