So cute! Our waiter has been with the restaurant for years. He was very funny and the service was top notch. The food was fantastic. I probably ate more than I should have because it was quite good (and I was hungry after a day of skiing).

Jar garlic and bagged Parmesan in the coolers up front should have been my first sign to leave but decided to give it a try anyways. The service was great, salad was good, garlic bread was good but had a lot of oil on it to the point of dripping when you held it. The chicken was bland and tasted like canned chicken, the Alfredo sauce tasted like it was from a can, the lasagna was more like Italian meatloaf wrapped in a single pasta noodle. Super strange for authentically advertised Italian food. Paid $80 for 4 pasta dishes and waters. Was excited to visit Galena but would not return to this restaurant, there are many other options which are probably better.

Visiting with my sister, she recommended this lovely restaurant. I was blown away, service and food was magnificent and tasty. Other customers were speaking French and German (possibly) but an experience (a special memory) with my sister. The music and decor, did not disappoint it was fantastic. I love history, and enjoyed the entire area we were seated. A must if you come to visit the area.

A hidden gem in Galena. I haven't been to this restaurant in over 10 years but in that time they've expanded and created lots of little themed rooms to have dinner or private parties. The food was fresh & delicious and the garlic bread was outright dangerous. I dare you to just eat one piece.
Have eaten here & the Galena, IL locations many times. Our experience on New Year’s Eve 2025 was horrible. Lasagna they are known for contained meat that was unrecognizable! Gray in color, mushy texture & tasteless. Salad was limp & garlic bread was swimming in oil. Don’t care to go back.

I have been going here off and on for years. It has noticeable gone downhill. The ambiance was spot on, service was great. The appetizer, bruschetta, was really good. Meal comes with salad it was good, the garlic bread was way too garlicy and dripped with oil. My basic spaghetti and meatballs were not good. The pasta was chewy and dry, kind if tasted of cardboard. If we go back again we'll just get the appetizer not a very overpriced meal.
