La Gondola Spaghetti House

I thought their customer service was poor. (It is) but the way they treat door dashers is even worse! I get a family special once or twice a month from these guys and girls and they’re always so rude. I decided to take an order from them through door dash and they were so rude to me just because i was a delivery driver. The older woman at the counter even made it harder for me and wanted me to give her MY phone!!!! Most of the dashers that come through Galesburg are tourists wanting to go to judys. You guys have to do better, you really do you can not treat community members and tourists the way you do. It doesnt matter if they’re a delivery driver or paying customer. Then they have the audacity to act innocent and so nice on facebook and social media. When you go in they act like they’re miserable so they have to make you miserable. I remember ten years ago when youd open the door and someone would yell “be with ya in a minute” with a smile on their face. Now they moan and groan like you did something to them. You never know who a dasher is or what they actually do for a living so let’s try to respect them especially when they respect you!

I had Lasagna dinner ate there. When I returned home. I started having stomach pain. Then later was sick. Now next day have been sick all day. Will definitely never return to that resturant. The lasagna tasted like it came out of a can. I've lived in Galesburg for a little over 3 years. I ate there when I first moved here. Food wasn't good then either. Ive seen some really good reviews so I tried again yesterday January 6th 2026. Now I've been sick all yesterday and today. Will NEVER GO BACK. They could offer freebies but nothing would ever make me return. Not a good Italian resturant.

Absolutely fantastic food! Service was great and the food came in a timely manner! I was satisfied overall on the whole experience. I ordered a tortellini dinner(which comes with garlic bread and side salad) with added cheese, and a side of half garlic bread with cheese. All of it was perfectly seasoned and hot and FRESH!
