Soup in Geneseo

“I took a little drive this morning to explore the back roads and found a pleasant little family-owned diner in downtown Geneseo. All of the wait staff were extremely friendly, polite, and accommodating, the environs were very clean and well-maintained. I ordered the Ham and Cheese Scone with choice of eggs and sausage gravy which was delicious! The scone was appropriately dense (as a proper scone should be), and the ham and cheddar cheese added depth and a savoury quality that really balanced out the entrée. The sausage gravy was obviously made from scratch, (unlike most restaurants these days), and had wonderful seasoning and a generous amount of sausage mixed in! Despite a fair distance, (30 miles), I will be sure to return soon to try out their other offerings! Thank you State Street Cafe for a fantastic breakfast (and a delicious dining alternative to the mediocre dining options offered here in Moline/ Rock Island)! I'll be back soon!“

“Color me impressed that this restaurant offers marked gluten free options! This is something I appreciate so greatly because eating out has been such a hassle for me due to needing to avoid gluten. This removes the confusion and actually gives me the opportunity to enjoy delicious asian cuisine that won't make me ill. Thank you!!!
