State Street Cafe is a local gem worth visiting off I-80. With a cozy mom and pop shop vibe, the cafe offers delicious food like the satisfying Cafe burger with bacon and cheese. The menu surprises with options like freshly baked quiche and amazing home fries. The friendly staff ensures quick service, making it a kid-friendly spot with plenty of parking available. The wait staff were extremely friendly, polite, and accommodating. The environs were very clean and well-maintained. The Ham and Cheese Scone was delicious, appropriately dense, with ham and cheddar cheese adding depth and a savoury quality. The sausage gravy was obviously made from scratch, with wonderful seasoning and a generous amount of sausage mixed in. The food was amazing, some of the best food ever had. Amy was a wonderful server. Great value, homemade pies, and charming Midwest Brownwater coffee. Don't miss out on this repeatable dining experience!
