Sunrise Cafe is a great American diner and a local gem. The food is fantastic, with everything tasting homemade. Highlights include steak and eggs, grilled cheese and chili, waffles, bacon, huge sausage links, perfect poached eggs, tasty sausage gravy and biscuit, and French toast made with homemade almond bread. The coffee is delicious. Service is always fast and friendly, with efficient waitresses who take very good care of customers. The menu is large with decent food, though some mention the hash browns are usually yellow from too much Swirl. It is worth the drive, even from 20 miles away, for a quick breakfast or monthly family visit.
