My friend (27 y.o.) and I (25 y.o.) visited for the first time today. We were really excited and had been talking about trying it for months. The bartender looked at my friend’s I.D. and said “do you want to leave now, or do you want me to keep this?“, inferring that the I.D. was fake. We thought he was joking and laughed about it. I then stated that she is 27 years old and could get her passport or show him another form of I.D. She ended up showing her credit card as another form of I.D., to which he responded, “fine, what do you want to drink?” in a condescending done. He then stated that if he loses his job, it’s our fault. The way that he handled the situation was extremely unprofessional and unkind. I let him know directly that his attitude was not appreciated, and that we would be leaving and not returning.
I understand the importance of bars having strict regulations regarding legalities, however, we were of age and had proven so through the requested multiple forms of I.D, yet were still talked down to. I recommend that this establishment streamlines the process for I.D. regulation in order to avoid losing customers in the future.
In the end, my friend will accept the compliment that she looks so young! 🤣

A new local bar in geneva, 8 visited today and they have a wonderful behind bar staff with a great menu and some fun weekly events.

such a bummer for the few negative reviews simply because the bartenders were doing their job… especially towards a newer restaurant.
this place absolutely rules, my bf and I describe it as “a dive bar with three michelin stars” whenever we invite our buddies here. food, ambiance, and staff are all sublime (the holy trinity can’t hold a candle to paige, ben, and chris). finally got to know wes as our bartender, and he rocks, too. kinda wished he was a bad guy just so i could resent him a bit whenever he beat us in darts… but he’s just as good of a bartender as he is a competitor. the owners also go above and beyond to give friendly service and assist their staff with running food and drinks. thank you all for being my partner and I’s perfect lil haven to venture to so we can shed off the stress of difficult workdays! excited to see yall keep killing it❤️ (p.s. I implore everyone who reads this to try the garlic stuffed pretzel)

Fun bar with a good vibe. Very older millennial vibe in a good way. Skater punk Sundays. Good choice of beer, cocktails, and tiki drinks. Lighting is on point. Bartenders were friendly and the frunch room and booths are great for sitting
Bad Alice is like falling down the rabbit hole — but with stronger drinks and way better music. Drink selection is major, food is good, the bartenders crush it, and the whole place feels like a secret you’re lucky to find. Pull up if you’re over basic bars and want somewhere with real edge

came on a sunday for my fire time and i'm not much of a cocktail girl BUT they had a large selection of beer, old style was my final choice and had the biggest selection of cod drinks ive ever seen, sadly a small tequila selection, i would love to see expand. The garlic and jalapeño pretzel was gone before I could capture a photo and the aoli sauce is so popular they were sold out of it! Sophia the bartender was spot on, about the menu and drink selection. Sheb was kind and easy to mingle with let alone order a drink from ! will definitely be back

An elevated dive bar in Geneva, just off the beaten path. A couple of TVs often playing random old movies, and an old tube TV playing classic DVDs sets the tone.
Bar stools are comfortable, and the drinks excellent - especially for the price in Geneva. Whether you want to drink a high life or a Chimay, they’ve got you covered. A wonderful cocktail menu complete with NA options, this is the hang the Fox River needs.
The food is what you’d expect, and it hits on its promise. Tavern style pizza, hot dogs - complete with a raucous exclamation if you order ketchup - and bags of chips.
There’s something for everyone and Punk Rock Sundays are a great way to cap off a weekend.
Note: if you’d like sports on, just ask. They will gladly accommodate.
