Thought the vegan pancakes were decent. And it's great that they offer it, not a lot of brunch places do. I wish they had a few more innovative options though. For vegan options, they had pancakes, a chia bowl, oatmeal, a couple of salads, and a wrap.
I recommended this restaurant to my wife coz I’ve eaten here 4 years ago and I loved it. But during our latest visit I was so disappointed. I Ordered the steak and eggs and that was so bad. The quality of the meat was so bad that it looks cheap, dry and old meat. Not going back here.

Good service and big portions, but the food isn't very good
Great restaurant but the reservation system through Google maps isn't honored... Go to the website. They don't tell you this until after you walk in thinking you have a reservation.

We love this place. Great “breakfast diner” atmosphere. Great food. Friendly staff (Gretchen was a sweetheart). We’ve been here before the pandemic and are so happy that they made it through that. 10 out of 10.

Buttermilk stands out as one of the few remaining restaurants of its kind in the area, which makes it all the more disappointing that the experience falls short of expectations. While the establishment appears clean, the service is far from welcoming. The staff seems rushed and eager to turn over tables, often pushing customers to leave well before the stated 90-minute dining limit. To make matters worse, there’s even a sign encouraging turnover. This behavior feels rude, especially when you’re dining with family and hoping for a relaxed meal.
The food, while inventive, is overpriced and heavily seasoned to the point of being overwhelming—particularly dishes like the skillets. The pancakes are another disappointment, undercooked, overly puffy, and lacking the balance expected from a restaurant of this caliber. Syrups and jams, which should be standard offerings, are only provided upon request, adding unnecessary inconvenience. The coffee is also underwhelming; despite the use of quality machines, the flavor is mediocre.
Overall, Buttermilk seems to be losing the charm and quality that likely made it popular in the first place. There is significant room for improvement, particularly in service and food quality, to make the experience align with the premium prices they charge.

Stopped here for breakfast with my husband. We were greeted and seated immediately. Our waitress came right over and provided friendly and attentive service from the start. Menu options are vast, but not overwhelming. Portion sizes are huge! My husband and I both ordered The Market Skillet. He got Honey Bun pancakes and I got Pumpkin Cinnamon Roll pancakes. Everything was delicious!! Highly recommended stopping in if you're in the area and want good food at a great value.

Delicious food and an attractive setting. They have everything from benedicts to french toast; and all of it done well. Their fried chicken was ALWAYS great. Try the Alabama fried chicken Benedict - it will shift your plane of existence.
Vegetarian options: Lots of options from pancakes to omlettes. You can exclude meat from most dishes.
Parking: 2 large lots behind the restaurant and street parking out front.
Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid options and the atmosphere is kid friendly

My mother and auntie went out too buttermilk this morning too meet up! Cause they haven't seen each other in years and tried too catch up on all the things they missed out, during the end of meal they had told my mother and they had to leave cause they were in the restaurant for too long ?! Too long is wild if my mother is paying for for and drinks still what is the the problem?

Me and my family had gotten a room supposedly reserved for 10am at this place and while the food was good we had to wait an hour past 10am because they seated someone in our RESERVED area. And then they didn't spilt checks. I wish it were a better experience but the biscuits and gravy was delicious

Food is really good, hot and fresh. Great flavor, portions big enough to share or have left overs. They bring you a carafe of coffee so no need to wait for refills. I would recommend coming here. Our waiter Josh did a great job with recommendations and making sure we were checked on during our stay
