The Waltus Room was a pleasant surprise. Our waitress, who was great btw, suggested the Shrimp DeJonge appetizer and it was phenomenal-it had a little bit and the just the right amount of sherry in it. The Lake Perch and Walleye entrees were great. Side salad was excellent with a good and not overpowering dressing. We will be back.
We absolutely always enjoy our meals and our time at Walrus Room! Such a unique place with a wonderful staff. Thank you for an enjoyable night.
Service was excellent, food was fine , but the food took almost an hour when the order in the kitchen was misplaced or fell on the floor, or whatever !!
Super cool supper club atmosphere and menu. My pork chop was perfect. My wife had the fish fry, giant portion! Try the relish tray as an app. Really brings the whole experience together.
Gritty mussels and undercooked fries. Took a while to get a drink tho' the food came out quickly.
Wife and I have come here for a few years now. We love the drinks and come back for the escargot and myself came back for the steak frites. We were so disappointed when they no longer have the escargot and then the worst part was the steak frites used to be NEw York strip they gave me a hanger steak with some salty gravy on it. I'm an avid diner and if I got out for steak, I would never order hanger steak much less with gravy on it. I ate the food and didn't want to be rude but we were highly disappointed. I love supporting small businesses but expect quality when we go out for a $200 dinner. There are way too many options to be serving this level of food.
Easily the best restaurant in Geneva or the surrounding towns. Food is delicious, service is great, and we love the ambiance.
Cute local “Super Club” that has gained tremendous support from a strong following. Food was well prepared and came in a reasonable time. Pricing was extremely reasonable.
This was our first visit to the Walrus Room. I would say that the word "eclectic" best applies to the menu and restaurant ambience. Our chicken and scallop entrees were just okay, with portion size on the smaller side and creamy sauces occupying more of the plates than we thought necessary. We also thought the prices we paid for our selections were higher than for the quality of the food we received. The restaurant is clean with moody lighting and a music selection that varies from lively to more subtle background music.
We enjoyed the best service ever at The Walrus Room. We chatted with the owner and our server, Steve, could not have been better. Food was creative and outstanding. Can't wait to return1

My friends and I had a great dinner at the Walrus Room. I would definitely recommend the restaurant. From the first glass of wine, to the last bite of Limoncello cheesecake, everything was delicious. The Saturday night special was Prom Rib, it was excellent, the best I've had in a very long time. The special included a choice of salad, or soup, along with Mashed Potatoes and Vegetables. Steve, our server, was very attentive and he was so much fun. We will definitely be back!!!
Food and drinks were not great. Difficult to hear the server at times. Dinner took a long time to come out.
The entrees were delicious, sublime. We had salmon, and the scallops. This is fine cuisine and atmosphere. Two big exceptions — furst of all, the wine is very pricey, and oyr red wine was served at about 75 degrees—too warm. We asked for cooler glasses, mentioned the wine was too warm, but we were served wine at the same warm temp ... no suggestions to try another wine, etc. At $17 per Glass, we expect an establishment to take better care of their wine. Also we ordered the charcuterie appetizer, at $18. It was very chintzy, with about 4 teeny tiny pieces of gouda, a few pickled onions, pickles (all from a jar—not “made in house”, The two dips were delicious and made in house, but not enough crackers (5) or anything else to be able to enjoy the dips— did you ever try to dip an olive?
Great dining experience. Quiet environment and attractive decor. Good wine list. Efficient service. We had bread/cheese plate, salad and entrees. Food well presented and tasty. The entrees were salmon and French dip sandwich.
The hostess was delightful and the waiter and service people were great. The food was everything we were looking for, and the room was very special.
