Went there for the first time and probably won't go back again, cuz the guy at the counter was a bit belligerent. He says they've been in business for 10 years and I don't know how if you treat first-time customers without first class service when you first walk in the door for the first time. It's a takeout place and I got that before I walked in. They don't offer anything ala carte so you can build your own dinner, and then on the dinner plates, they don't let you or should I say they don't want to bother to accommodate you on an enchilada dinner and let you mix of beef and chicken or whatever you want. When you're new you want to be able to try different things so you can get a bit of a taste of what the place has to offer. That's a horrible business attitude, and there was no reason for that and they lost me and my girlfriend's businesses for just that alone. I own two businesses, and I try my best to give my customers whatever they ask for, and I try to smile and be a little more friendly instead of being demanding and unflexible. Monday night you're not that busy so why not give a customer what they want welcome the customer back is what I say. The food was so so however my girlfriend asked specifically for a fajita burrito to make sure she got white meat and she's not sure if they even gave her white meat much less fajita meat which they charge extra for. Santa Fe offers better food and I'll let you mix and match, but they were closed on Monday. As a paying customer I would definitely not loitering or freeloaders, I expect a little bit better cooperation and appreciation from somebody that's taking your money and having a liberal attitude towards people. It's not just here but that's my number one pet peeve with any restaurant number one rule is service. Food is important too but that's secondary. I guess they don't care if they get reviews or not

Never a miss, maybe a bit greasy at times but it doesnt affect the delicious taste. I always get the steak for the meat and try to go once a week bc it's so tasty. Definitely recommend their flan and churros(all filling types) as well!

This was the worst burrito I’ve ever had. The whole thing fell apart immediately. It looked like a bad subway sandwich. Literally Taco Bell is better. I’m not sure how this ever had a 4.6 rating.

Let me start by saying I don’t usually do food reviews, if the food is bad I chalk it up as a lesson learned. But I’m making an acceptation for Javi’s in Glen Ellyn, I ordered a Burrito Suzio De Pastor. The meat was definitely at least a day or two old and overly greasy. I requested extra meat and sour cream ( this is preference to how I like my burrito) essentially the burrito was supposed to include lettuce, beans, and cheese. My burrito only consisted of the meat barely any sour cream and the cheese on top ( again I ordered it suizo) and it was inedible. Lastly the service or lack there of was just not welcoming or friendly me and my fiancé walked in and there was no at the desk at the time, when someone finally came in it was young lady with who didn’t even greet us. She asked what did we want we advised her we were there to pick up an order, she for some
Reason had a an attitude. We paid and were waiting for our drink (2 Horchatas) we waited a couple of minutes while she went to back then she came back out and asked what were were waiting for and we told her our drinks. She then proceeded to direct us to the drink refrigerator where they had premade cups of Hortcha. To sum it up I will never go there again.

Amazing place very up lifting plaletas
Are amazing. I got sour cream and cheese burrito and the sour cream just blended with the steak perfectly. Cashier was very nice and could see how hard the chefs were working on the food

I don't understand the rave reviews. This is not a particularly good mexican place. The meat is incredibly greasy. I couldn't finish my meal. If you want excellent mexican food check out the taqueria at La Rosita's on North Avenue.

We had Javi’s come to our house to cater an outdoor grad party. It was amazing-food was excellent (everyone RAVED about it!) and Pablo and Javi were so kind and easy to work with. We will definitely use Javi’s again. Thanks so much for helping to make our celebration special!

Been here a few times. It's quick and easy. I've had at least 3 different varieties of their burrito. All 3 good just don't like that everything inside starts to come out the bottom side of the burrito.
