We had the brisket mac and a build-your-own bowl also with brisket and everything was exactly what you’d expect from a local bar/restaurant. The atmosphere is okay, with TVs everywhere and fairly loud. Service was great until we got the check. We live in the neighborhood so had been here a few times but I forgot that they charge a 3% “convenience fee.” When I asked about it before I was told that it was due to supply chain issues and costs having gone up (a few years ago), this time though we were told it’s to cover credit card processing fees, even though it was on the check before they knew our method of payment. When I asked, the server had clearly received the question before and became flustered and said she would just take it off. It’s a pretty awkward thing for management to have their waitstaff have to answer for. The cost of doing business should be baked into the food and drink prices without having to add a blanket 3% that I’m sure some people take off the tip. Really disappointing.

Was given great hospitality by Jose as well as some guy that said bye to me and my son as we left . I love feeling acknowledged . The food was pretty yummy I get chargrilled oysters anytime I can find them and there oysters was like a 7/10… my son got the grilled cheese and Mac and he enjoyed. I also got salmon and broccoli didn’t disappoint.

From Joliet but was visiting with a mutual friend in my industry. Never eaten here but if I'm in the area again, I definitely will. Super relaxed environment and no rush type of service. Also noticed super KID FRIENDLY! Our waitress was on point the entire time and always made sure our drinks were full. I had the dynamite shrimp and the Black and Bleu burger. It was delicious. The topping to mear ratio was spot on. Parking was a little difficult but there are garages nearby that allow you 3 hours at a time....which was perfect. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

The chili and cornbread are exceptional. Firecracker shrimp is also fantastic. Actually, all the food here is way over expectations. Staff is ok, friendly but you can wait long time between visits. It's a bar atmosphere, lots of TV playing sports.

Great food, good beer list, friendly service. But they add a 3% convenience fee to your bill for no reason. Then on top of that when u go to check out the suggested tip is 20% on top of tax and the 3% fee. Enjoy the joint, just be mindful if the bill.

I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxing sit-down meal. It’s more of a chaotic environment, with kids running around and yelling everywhere. The service wasn’t great either—there were only two servers who seemed overwhelmed and disconnected. The tables were sticky, and it took quite a while for our drinks to arrive. I could have overlooked all of that if the food was decent, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. We ordered burnt ends for a starter, and they were overcooked to the point of being like charcoal—rock-hard and sitting on greasy homemade chips covered in salt. The server didn’t even check in once to ask how the food was. I ordered a smash burger, and it was nothing special. Honestly, places like Beef Shack or Five Guys would have been a far better choice, not to mention cleaner. Overall, I can’t recommend this place, especially considering how much it needs a proper cleaning. I’d hate to imagine the state of the kitchen.

KILLER ESPRESSO MARTINIS! I very much will be back just for those, dont mind me! Other than that, our server was more than lovely, welcomed us in warmly and made sure all was great. We ordered 2 appetizers which turned out to be everything we needed- big portions of tasty food!

FYI, they're one of the restaurants that adds a service fee if you use your credit card. On our recent trip, they ran out of pulled pork and Guinness so we had to change our orders. The food is delicious and service was good.
