The Chef's Special of sautéed shrimp with polenta and wild mushrooms and asparagus was very tasty and light enough for a wonderful 1st day of Summer. The patio is a great place to dine. Our server was attentive and we were able to enjoy our cocktails before she came back to take our orders. The cost is affordable and I always look forward to having dinner on the patio and looking at the golf course.

To start off with we sat 25 minutes without anyone coming to take our order. All the tables around us were being waited on. The table next to us, that sat down after we did got waited on before us. We were totally ignored. There was a nice waiter Sam, who was waiting on a table next to us and we asked him if he could help us. He said he was not our waiter and he knew who our waiter was, but he was happy to help us and he took our order and his service was wonderful after that. All I can say is Sam saved the night because the food was just OK.  my sister ordered the special with flank steak, which was very chewy but very tasty. Our fish tacos were nothing special. Of course the nachos were always wonderful. I know they had a couple big parties going on, so I'm sure that had something to do with our service in the beginning. That did happen to us one other time when a wedding was going on. We will know now for the future and I recommend it, that you call ahead of time and ask if there are any big parties going on because that will affect your service.  Yes for the ambience, there were no big tropical plants this year.

We are regulars at Reserve 22 and I have to say that we were disappointed. It was a very slow night in the restaurant, yet after we received our water and Drinks, we waited another 45 minutes for someone to come back and take our order. The wait staff seem to just forget that we were there. Once we received our food, I had to find the wait staff again to get condiments. Not the best visit.

We had lunch on a Sunday at Reserve 22, inside. My Fish tacos were tasty and two of them were filling for me. My husband's Crab cakes were VERY small and had NO accompaniments. It was not enough to eat, so he ate my 3rd fish taco and part of my slaw. We're not big eaters, so this meal was a disappointment. Service was good, we were able to chat with our friends and enjoy our meal.
My husband had the fish fry. He said it was good. I liked the walleye fish special. I was not a fan of the Brussels sprouts. They've been better at other places. Atmosphere on outdoor patio is always very pretty overlooking the golf coarse.

A wonderful day for 3 ladies to enjoy a day out. Had the Niçoise salad with ahi tuna, caramelized Brussels sprouts, and beef tenderloin sliders. Was perfect amount of food, server was polite and attentive. The view of the golf course and smell of flowers, flying birds , all a sensational delight.

Great spread for an Easter buffet. Food was all delicious. Service was a little slow (got our drinks half way through our meal). I'm surprised that normal drinks like coffee, ice tea and lemonade were a separate charge. Will be back though especially as the weather gets nicer.
Best HOME-MADE Fried Chicken that your mother would approve of!
Yesterday I stopped at Reserve 22 in Glen Ellyn. I have been here before, and as always, the food was OUTSTANDING! I chose the chefs special for Thursday – FRIED CHICKEN. There aren’t too many places that make GOOD Fried Chicken these days, BUT I WAS PROVEN WRONG! Chef Tom’s Fried Chicken sounded like how my mom used to make it. When the plate arrived, I was greeted with some of the best chicken I have seen in, will… since my mother made it. There; in front of me, on top of a huge portion of REAL mashed potatoes were four pieces of golden-brown chicken (thigh, breast, wing, and leg) with gravy on the side and large portion of coleslaw.
The first bite of Chef Tom’s chicken brought back a flood of childhood memories. If I didn’t know I was in a restaurant, I would have sworn I was sitting at my mom’s kitchen table on a Sunday afternoon. THIS WAS MY MOTHERS’ CHICKEN! Beautifully golden brown, that first crunch as you bit into the piping hot moist chicken. No lie, I had to just savor the moment. My search for the 2nd best chicken in the world (sorry, no one can beat moms’) was over. The potatoes, slaw and gravy were the Crème de la Crème of this meal! This whole meal reminded me of my childhood, Sundays after church and moms’ cooking. This is the BEST HOME COOKED MEAL YOU WILL FIND ANYWHERE!
I did have to take a doggie bag home. But trust me, I enjoyed the rest of the chicken that night.
I have had the opportunity to enjoy Chef Tom’s meals a few times. I have NEVER been disappointed – EVER! Of course, the service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is inviting and relaxing at Reserve 22. If you haven’t had the chance or opportunity to dine at Reserve 22 MAKE IT A MUST! You will put it on your list of places to return to – OFTEN.
The Easter menu looked unbelievable too. If you are looking for a place to have Easter dinner, I HIGHLY recommend Reserve 22. Chef Tom is a gifted man!
