Parking on the street at least on a Saturday night was wide open available. Everything tasted great, I guess depending where you sit it's really really dim- but that's not a con. It was a decent lil visit.

Came with a friend and my wife for a casual dinner at this place after hearing many good things. I can definitely say it did NOT disappoint! We started with some classic cocktails - Hurricane and Sazerac. Both excellent, and only $10. Not bad for a very well-done cocktail! We got Alligator Bites with ruemoulade for the appetizer. Very good. At this point, of course, it's just fried alligator, so we weren't expecting to be blown away. (It would have been nice to get a bit more of the ruemoulade for the amount of gator we got.) For our entree, our friend got the regular jambalaya (they had a seafood jambalaya on special), I got the Crawfish Étouffée, and my wife the blackened catfish. I can't actually testify to their dishes, as we all just focused on our own meals, but mine was really outstanding. I asked them to turn up the heat a bit. If they did, it was still well-balanced and I could have taken a bit more spice, but it was very flavorful. Everyone else ate everything and was very complementary. The whole vibe is great at Rue. Highly recommended.

Small, cozy place with good energy and nice staff. Food was very mediocre, I was frankly shocked considering all the 5 star reviews. Cesar salad was tiny and something I would have made at home, ie...lame. Jambalaya plate was bland, corn muffins were bland as well and the tiniest I've ever seen. Plus it's not cheap. Will not return.

I visit this spot a lot since I work in the area. I must say their service is always excellent and they keep the place well organized constantly. Pricing is convenient and they serve generous portions.

The food is fantastic. It definitely reminded me of food from NOLA. I had the gumbo and shrimp and grits. Both were so good!

Great shrimp and grits! Wonderful service, and great menu choices. My only suggestions would be to make the lighting more consistent throughout the restaurant, and to make sure customers are aware of the daily drink specials as I’m sad we missed out on those.

Had birthday dinner. Great food! Brought back memories of dining in small food places in NOLA. Great service as well. Server Neil was great!

Family needed a place to go for my brothers birthday dinner, so we chose here. Was not very crowded when we walked in, so I was a little bit nervous. We got the fried gator and a bowl of gumbo to start, both of which were very solid. The waitress recommended the crawfish étouffe, so that's what it got. It was amazing! The crawfish was plentiful and delicious, and the dish had the perfect amount of heat. Along with that we were given a cornbread muffin which was among the best I've ever tasted. My family ordered the tacos, the shrimp creole, the jambalaya, and the catfish. They were all very impressed and satisfied. For desert we had the beignets which were delicious as well. Service was awesome as well. Will definitely be back here.
