My friend had been here before but this was my first time and I'll definitely be going back! The salmon curry (I chose 1/2 the heat) was absolutely delicious and my friend was equally happy with her vegetable pad Thai. It was quiet (we were there mid afternoon) and the staff was very friendly and helpful with information about the food. I can definitely recommend The Elephant Thai!

For the DINNER size, i paid 17$ for the this meal and this is how much meat they gave me. I usually go here often but I wont be back. For this money , even lunch size, the chinese restaurant minghin gives me much more. Please give customer a decent amount of meat for the price.

Absolutely delicious! I ordered the Tom Yum soup with shrimp and mushrooms, and it was everything I hoped for — rich, tangy, and perfectly spiced. The broth had that signature hot-and-sour depth that makes Tom Yum so addictive, and the shrimp were fresh and tender. As a mushroom lover, I appreciated how generous they were with them — earthy, flavorful, and cooked just right.
I also had a pork entrée, and it was just as impressive — tender, juicy, and full of bold Thai flavor. You can really tell the ingredients are fresh and that care is put into each dish.
Cozy atmosphere, fast service, and consistently great food. The Elephant Thai is definitely a gem in Glen Ellyn — highly recommend for anyone who loves authentic Thai food with a kick!

Great location and good food. We had a late lunch, so the tables were mostly empty. The server was nice and efficient. We had Chicken Pad Thai and this was the first time I was served tofu in my Pad Thai. Unfortunately, there was much more tofu than chicken, which disappointed me. However, the flavor was delicious. The vegetable egg rolls (4 to an order) were tasty and the sweet and sour sauce was perfect. An order of Basil Fried Rice with Pork was spicy as was noted on the menu. Also delicious. All of us had lots of food to take home for another meal.
The total on the bill, before the tip was $61. All in all, it was a fine lunch and worth trying again. But having said that it was not anything spectacular. I would most likely order for take out next time, to eat in a more cheerful atmosphere.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Elephant Thai, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with beautiful Thai-inspired decor that immediately sets the mood. The staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels welcome.
The food, however, is the true highlight. Every dish bursts with authentic Thai flavors, perfectly balanced between sweet, spicy, sour, and savory. The Pad Thai was one of the best I’ve ever had—perfectly cooked noodles, fresh ingredients, and just the right amount of tangy tamarind sauce. The Green Curry was rich, aromatic, and packed with fresh vegetables and tender chicken.
The portion sizes are generous, and the presentation is stunning. Even the drinks, like the Thai iced tea, are perfectly made and refreshing. Whether you're a fan of bold, spicy dishes or milder, comforting flavors, there’s something for everyone here. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an authentic and delicious Thai dining experience. I’ll definitely be coming back!
p.s. the Wings are top-notch!

I love spicy food. I ordered the Tom Yum soup medium spicy. It came out so spicy it was inedible. It was 16oz. I came home and mixed it with 32oz of chicken broth and it was still crazy spicy. There were only mushrooms and shrimp in it. No tomatoes or cilantro. I suggest the mild version.

We had Thai food craving, and go over there, it was worse experience of food in my 46 years. All 4 dishes was nasty with zero flavor. I love real Thai food and that even not close to it. We just tasted pay the bill, leave full not finish plates and leave it. If you look for Thai food definitely is wrong place. You have to see my 12 years daughters face, reaction was priceless.
